We love our Flobed! Prior to our purchase, my husband and I were achy all the time. Our customized Flobed has helped tremendously. We love being able to switch pieces if something starts to feel off. We even switched out one of the core pieces due to some weight loss. To top it off, Flobed’s customer service is phenomenal. I think of it as “old school” customer service where you talk to actual people who know their products. They communicate with you every step of the way and shipping is fast!
It’s scary to think about making such a large purchase without being able to try it, it we are glad we took the leap. We tried so many other mattresses and just didn’t find one that felt right. We are very happy with our purchase and highly recommend the company.

I've been waiting until we've spent some time sleeping on our new mattress. WE LOVE IT!!! The last time we were mattress shopping we discovered we have very different preferences. I like soft and my husband prefers firmer. After trying a few in-store mattresses this go around, we couldn't agree on anything. FloBed seemed like a good solution.
We did have some issues with the UPS delivery, but FloBeds stepped in and made sure we got everything. Once it Once we got all the boxes open, the directions ere easy to follow and it went together faster than I expected and with no trouble at all for 2 people. From the first night we've both been in love with our new mattress.
We used to love going to hotels as we often felt the mattresses were better than our at home. Having just gotten back from 5 nights away... I can't wait to get into bed tonight.

I’ve had my mattress for several years now. While I like it and it’s fairly comfortable, my one complaint would be WHY on God’s green earth would they not put handles on the sides? This mattress is so heavy, heavier than any mattress I’ve ever encountered, and it is so hard to move. You know how you’re supposed to rotate your mattress every 6 months or something like that? Well, it’s practically impossible. Nice company, nice product otherwise, but PLEASE consider this huge oversight in design.

Shopping for a mattress is a generally awful experience. I visited half a dozen local stores with limited offerings and sales people who ranged from unhelpful to downright pushy. After trying many beds on showroom floors I learned that latex mattresses tended to be the most comfortable for me, but my local selection was very limited. One local store offered a somewhat customizable latex mattress, but at a starting price of over $6,000!
I discovered FloBeds through Mattress Underground. They are all latex. They ship them to you in manageable pieces and you put them together yourself. If a piece wears out, or if you want to tweak the softness/firmness, they ship a new piece of latex to you and you replace it yourself. No need to send unwanted mattresses to the landfill! It seems so intuitively simple, why wasn't everyone else doing it? Was it too good to be true?
We took a leap of faith, and I'm happy to report FloBeds is the real deal! My wife and I are side sleepers. We got the "deluxe" (12 inch) mattress without the zoning. I was able to carry all the boxes upstairs and assemble the mattress on my own. We could immediately tell it was more comfortable than our previous mattress! It is supportive for my lower back, but soft enough to lay on my side without limbs falling asleep. Months later and after a pregnancy it's still comfortable! Would definitely buy again (but hopefully won't have to for many years)!
I do wish FloBeds could offer a lower cost and more durable option via blended Talalay latex, but understand that most of their customers want an "organic" experience. I would also caution that their sales rep pressured us to buy a zoned mattress, which proved to be unnecessary in our case.

Update at end of review! My husband and I purchased a flobed later last year (the vzone) and are absolutely pleased with it! We went with the website's recommendation for the firmness, but has to do a bit of adjusting to get each side just right (if I could do it again I would have ordered firmer layers). We both had mild back pain from our traditional spring mattress and needed a change. We found your business on a mattress forum and are so happy we did! We noticed an immediate difference in our sleep quality and comfort. We don't get hot/cold, we don't sink in like with memory foam mattresses and there is no chemical smell/off gassing. We will never turn back to traditional mattresses! We plan on buying new layers add time goes on as ours wear out.
I called to make the order and your staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. The shipping was fast and the mattress was very easy to set up (even with one person).

UPDATE: Three years later, our bed is still going strong! The only con we have with the bed is that when we travel it can't come with us! I did not mention in the original review that we also use the twice fluffed pillows, which you can customize the thickness. The pillows are so comfy, it's easy to adjust them during the night and they support your head and neck well. We have also purchased two new layers, due to a change in personal preference, and the same great customer service was provided.
