Wonderful experience. I explained to L&W bedding my needs and my budget and they came up with the perfect mattress. I would post a review on the mattress but it was custom made for my needs and is not a certain model that they carry. It's two-sided flippable and my back feels great after a week of sleeping on it. I shopped other area mattress stores that advertise two-sided mattresses but with them it was nothing but high pressure sales. I recommend L&W.
View on GoogleI'll tell you my story. I was sleeping on an expensive Sealy hybrid mattress that started permanently indenting within 2 years. I literally had a foam noodle under it to help with the indentation. It was terribly uncomfortable and it really ruined my sleep for years. Believe it or not I stuck it out with this mattress for longer than I'd like to admit. I started researching mattresses to understand how they are built and I realized 99% of mattresses are complete scams. Low quality, gimmicks, and even hazardous materials are used to build "mattresses" these days. It's truly unbelievable. I knew I needed to find a place that sells real, flippable, inner spring mattresses. Not this foam cloud gel cooling BS they try to sell you nowadays. These foam/hybrid mattresses are fundamentally flawed because the foam will simply indent over time and it will indent very quickly. To be clear, I'm not talking about foam layers, I'm talking about mattresses made primarily of foam. And guess what? There are virtually NO stores that sell REAL inner spring mattresses anymore. And even if they sell inner spring mattresses, they are NOT flippable. Why? Because they don't want them to last so you'll be back a few years to buy another one. Like what is going on with this industry?! Now the next gimmick is this bed-in-a-box crap where the mattress is literally encased in hazardous fiberglass shards which is used for fire retardant for shipping purposes. It's incredibly dangerous to have a mattress like that. You'll be itching and scratching and breathing that in your lungs soon enough. Should be called danger-in-a-box. Also it's all foam garbage that won't last more than a year. Anyway my stepbrother told me about L&W as he had recently purchased a bed from them. I visited the store for the first time and talked with Edwin. He explained how the mattresses are built with example cutouts. And showcased how these beds are made compared to other companies. Previously I had called or visited EVERY other store in the Quad Cities and L&W is the ONLY place that sells and builds REAL mattresses. Anyway I came back a couple weeks later and talked to the owner and he explained in precise detail how he builds the mattresses, the materials used, the craftsmanship, etc. I'm an engineer so I can appreciate the craftsmanship and design. I knew this was my only shot at securing a REAL mattress from a physical store location so I ended up buying the Galaxy mattress which was within my budget. The owner coordinated with me to get it delivered very quickly and I literally fell asleep on it for 3 hours after I received it. It was AMAZING. I have not experienced this kind of comfort in years! The mattress has incredible support but is still insanely comfortable while laying on my side, back or stomach. And it has unmatched edge support. It has just as much support on the edges as it does in the middle. Zero dead zones. The owner has been building mattresses for decades and has deep technical experience in designing them. It's like the mattress is tuned for human mechanics. It's truly incredible. I'm writing this long review because of my frustration with the mattress industry in general and to give credit where credit is due. L&W mattresses are REAL mattresses that are built to last and are fundamentally superior to any other mattress you can find anymore. Incredibly high quality and comfort.
View on GoogleL&w bedding was great. Staff was friendly and very transparent with the different products they had. Answered questions honestly. The process was quick and simple. I recommend buying from them if you’re in the market for a good quality mattress. They work with all price ranges. I will definitely be returning in the future.
View on GoogleL&W Bedding has excellent mattresses and service. I have bought several mattresses over the years from them. They have been great and can be flipped. I appreciate the quality. They last for years.
View on GoogleI grew up sleeping on a L&W bed that is still in use to this day! I just bought a full for the step-son earlier this year. Now I bought a split king and couldn't be happier. Everyone in my house sleeps on a L&W bed.
