While we love the furniture in the North elm Home we would not recommend getting anything reupholstered there. We got our couch reupholstered 6 months ago. We told them not to put any piping on the cushions. Even though we were told the upholsterer would be very happy to hear that, after weeks with out a couch it arrived with piping. The cushions had to be returned and several weeks went by without a couch while we waited for the piping to be removed. We hardly used the couch because we were doing renovations in the house and when we finally used it only a couple months after the piping had been removed we noticed fraying in several places where the piping had been removed. They agreed to fix it and I told them that I needed it by Oct 20. I was told no problem. They were not able to get it back by then. We have been without a couch for a total of months There was no communication about the delay.

Every piece you buy is part of your children's inheritance because the pieces will last several lifetimes. Incredible selection on site as well as custom orders. Frequent sales to tempt you! If that were not enough, they have a new art installation every month. Such a classy experience. Before finding North Elm, I hated going into furniture stores. Now we cannot drive by the place without stopping in....
View on GoogleDescribing myself as a person who generally doesn't partake in browsing and shopping I find North Elm Home to be a remarkable and repeatable shopping experience. The store has a wonderful energy not to mention numerous curiosities that are pleasant to the eye and touch. As a place in the community it has an important role in bringing people together whether it's around the furniture itself or the art exhibits and openings that are very well attended and popular. Cindy and John are two of the best I know at customer service and are able to "find" things as well as offer what is in the showroom. Great store, great furniture and great people.
