very bad experience in both rochester locations. sales people not knowledgable and claiming things that can't be done like converting mqnuql recliner to power and adding swivel . and then not following up with info requested like full price. also the the stores don't carry the samples listed on website which would require me to buy online. what fool does that without trying out the comfort level of the product. especially something like a recliner. so disappointed. i found 4 recliners i liked but have yet to receive an email with the quotes and its been 5 days. the sales people don't even know the stock they have in the store! wasted 2 hours.

BUYERS BEWARE!!!!
Extremely disappointed with my experience purchasing a bedroom set from Raymour & Flanigan online. The furniture arrived with scratches, chips, cracking/splitting, finish damage, and even additional damage I continued discovering afterward including on the back of the dresser when inspecting it closely with a flashlight.
What made this even worse was noticing areas that appeared to be covered with markers or touch-up products instead of the damage being properly addressed. The color differences were obvious and completely unacceptable on brand-new furniture.
I attempted to contact customer service within the required 72-hour period and left numerous messages that were never returned in a timely manner. When I finally reached management, I was told returns were not allowed and felt completely dismissed while trying to explain the condition of the furniture.
The bed also makes knocking noises during normal use, adding even more concern about the quality of what was delivered.
For the amount of money spent, no customer should receive damaged furniture and then be treated like they are the problem for expecting brand-new merchandise in acceptable condition.
RESPONSE to RAYMORE below 5/7:
This response honestly proves my point more than it helps it.
It appears to be nothing more than a generic copy-and-paste template that wasn’t even reviewed before posting. The response literally says “[Your Name]” at the bottom instead of an actual employee’s name, which makes it very clear no one took the time to genuinely review my situation before responding publicly.
What’s even more concerning is that your response asks me to “reach out” when I already spent days leaving numerous messages trying to report the damage within your required timeframe and already spoke with management before this review was ever posted.
So this response completely ignores:
- the damaged furniture that was delivered,
- the visible cracking/splitting and finish damage,
- the concerns about marker/touch-up coverage on damaged areas,
- the bed making knocking noises during normal use,
- the numerous unreturned calls,
- and the fact that I was already told returns were not allowed.
At this point, it feels like the public responses are more focused on image management than actually resolving legitimate customer issues.
Customers spending thousands of dollars on “brand-new” furniture should not receive damaged merchandise, discover additional defects days later, feel dismissed when asking questions, and then receive automated-looking template responses pretending the issue was never previously escalated.

Our Sales Guide, Tom, was terrific. Worked with us through all of our requirements; living room, kitchen and bedroom. Smooth checkout with financing. We have used Raymour & Flanigan in the past and will continue to do so into the future. Many Thanks!

Scott was very informative and true to his word. Not only was he patient with me cause I had to test out every mattress lol. At the end of the day, we made a deal and they are delivering it within 24 hours. We’ll definitely shop there again.

We came in specifically to try a Purple mattress and let Shahida “Shy” Shakir know we were just testing things out. She was incredibly welcoming and happy to help anyway.
Shy walked us through the options clearly, adjusted the base so we could experience features like zero gravity, and even explained how an adjustable base can help with snoring. She took the time to swap pillows and make sure both of us felt comfortable with the firmness — even though my husband was the primary one needing the mattress.
What stood out most was how genuine and knowledgeable she was. She shared her own experience with an adjustable base, respected our budget, and offered thoughtful alternatives without ever being pushy.
She was personable, attentive, and truly made the experience easy and comfortable. She made our experience at Raymour & Flanagan seamless and positive, especially since we didn't initially plan to make a purchase.
