I am a long-time customer and recently made a purchase at the Charlottesville location. Due to some miscommunication and scheduling issues, we did not receive our furniture when expected (nothing tragic, just an annoyance). When I spoke to the store manager, CB about my frustration, he listened (a skill that not everyone has these days), took immediate action, and solved my problem. Later that day, the piece of furniture I had ordered was nicely displayed in my home.
What could have been a frustrating situation turned out to be a situation that showed a company that listened and cared about their customers, valued excellent customer service and teamwork (thanks to the delivery team for a last-minute delivery), and sincerely cared for their customers. Due to CB and his leadership, I am happy to return to Schewels Home.
In regards to the furniture, we shop here regularly due to the close location, nice inventory, reasonable prices, and quick availability.

Our experience at Schewels was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, EB and Aaron treated us with respect, kindness, and genuine care. They went above and beyond to make sure we found exactly what we needed and made the whole process easy and enjoyable. We ended up leaving with a beautiful sectional, a complete king-size bedroom suite with chest of drawers and dressers, a movable platform, and a mattress—all in one visit.
What really stood out was their commitment to customer service. EB and Aaron even stayed late to carefully load everything into our U-Haul, making sure it was protected and secure. Michelle and Ashley in the office were also fantastic—they went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled smoothly and with care. That kind of teamwork and dedication is rare these days, and it showed us how much they truly value their customers.
I have always shopped at Grand Home Furnishings (PLEASE go read my review on them before you shop), but after this experience, we will only use EB, Aaron, Michelle, and Ashley from now on. I’ll also make sure my family and friends do the same, because this level of customer service deserves to be supported.
If you want excellent furniture and even better service, go to Schewels and ask for EB, Aaron, Michelle, and Ashley—you will not be disappointed. This is the only place we’ll be shopping from now on!

A big thank you goes out to Sales Rep. Ashley. She went above and beyond to meet and satisfy my needs. She provided me with professionalism along with that personal touch to answering ALL my questions and satisfying all she could to get me the price I was looking to spend. Along with her help we got to meet the store manager EB who also displayed the same professionalism and concern that we were completely satisfied with our purchase. Thank you for your team effort and we will see you again.

Very good sales experience. Nobody was pushy. They just helped me choose the right mattress. It felt like they were being honest.
