REAL customer service! My husband and I found Wyatt-Ogg after shopping a few other furniture retailers in the area (we reside in Williamsburg, VA). The store is a 25-minute drive from our house - and was worth every minute! We purchased a recliner with a lift and received the chair last week. As it was a custom order, I was hesitant to call them because it looks great - but the padding wasn’t as expected. I’m going to sleep in it for several weeks after shoulder surgery and was very concerned so I called our sales rep, Andrew. His response was sincere and kind - and our conversation centered around my concerns and discomfort. Thing is, custom orders are a final sale. But he offered to have his delivery team come out to add padding as needed. WOW. And they did - and it is probably the best example of true, old-fashioned customer service that I have experienced in a very long time. It’s not just about the deal for them. They want repeat business and it shows. I want to let you know that this is a real, no “loop-holes” furniture purveyor. In today’s world, it’s something of an oxymoron statement but it really is worth checking them out. They sell lamps, accent pieces, serious furniture sets, recliners, dining room sets - you name it. Please give them some consideration - you’ll be glad you did! Thanks.

I recently moved and was in search for a special dining room table. I found one that I liked, but the price was out of my range. I sent Andrew a picture through my cell phone and ask if he he had anything in the store that resembled. Andrew told me he did not. However, a couple weeks later Andrew was at market and found a table similar to the one I had sent him. He was wonderful through process. Keeping me informed when it would be delivered. I can’t thank him enough…..

Went to this business at 9:48am on a Saturday when they opened at 9am to buy a chair, the door was locked and the female employee was standing at the desk just staring at us and wouldnt open the door to let us in, we stood for a couple minutes at the window waiting and the employee continued to just stand there staring at us. We left and came back again and the door was still locked and the employee still refused to open the store and let us in. Needless to say we left without the chair we were going to buy. Terrible customer service. Very unfortunate for a small charming town

Make sure they give you the correct price up front. We went there to buy a washer and dryer today. We were told one price. The price was agreeable, so we looked around for some other things while we were there, since we planned on purchasing the washer /dryer set. Once it came time to settle up, I had to have a credit check run, even though we had been buying furniture and appliances there for over a decade. The credit check will ding your credit a few points, but I let them run it, and I was approved. Then, the young man behind the counter tells me that what were were buying was roughly 500.00 dollars MORE than what we had been told buy the young woman who was helping us the entire time. Bottom line he insisted he couldn't possibly give it to us for the price that we had been told originally the entire time. Instead of making a scene, which was what I was VERY close to doing, we walked out. So make certain when you go in there that the person who helps you knows what they are talking about. I got my credit dinged for a credit check that didn't amount to anything because at check out they wanted to charge us roughly 500 more than we had been told the entire time, with absolutely NOTHING to show for it. No apology. No nothing. We had been going to this store for over a decade. We will not go back. This isn't the same store it was the first time we walked in all those years ago. I'll go to Lowes, where the big box price is cheaper than the local store. There is a reason local businesses are struggling right now. This is just one of them. Our time was wasted. My credit has been effected, and we have nothing to show for it. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone ever again. Don't waste your time going.
