Heads up to other truckers, backing into the docks here is a pain. Road is busy and cars don't wanna stop to let you in. Had a few close calls. Just take your time and watch your mirrors.

On the positive side, I observed that the employees worked diligently and were clearly committed to their tasks, reflecting a dedication to quality workmanship. However, I did notice a concerning trend regarding the speed of service, especially when dealing with customers of certain ethnic backgrounds. This discrepancy in service speed can be frustrating and leaves room for improvement in customer relations. Furthermore, there were notable challenges related to communication. Clear updates on job completion and location details were lacking, leaving me and fellow drivers guessing and uncertain about the status of our deliveries. This lack of clarity can lead to inefficiencies and delays in the delivery process. Navigating to the company's premises also posed challenges. The visibility of docks from the street was limited, particularly during peak sunlight hours, making it challenging to locate and access the designated areas for loading and unloading. Additionally, the layout of the location, particularly the difficulty of making a U-turn on a business road due to its intersection with a stop sign, added further logistical hurdles for truck drivers. While these issues were concerning, it's important to recognize that mistakes can happen, and we are all human. With a focus on improving communication, addressing service speed disparities, and enhancing accessibility for truck drivers, the Chicago Mattress Company can work towards a more efficient and satisfactory experience for all involved.
View on GoogleI bought one of their better pillow top flippable full size mattress set, 3.5 years ago and now the middle of the mattress where my hip area lays is starting to sag like a crater. I tried flipping it since both sides are pillow top and the same thing happens. I paid quite a bit for that set to be only getting 3 and a half years out of it :(
View on GoogleTrucker here. its a little tight with a 53ft but very doable. Take Cicero to Chicago Ave, go east and turn right on Killbourne. DO NOT TAKE LAKE AVE!!! you can make a left at Ohio Ave(4-way stop) to turn around so you don't back in blindside. just follow the road back to Killbourne. wait for traffic to slow and back into the dock. Staff is efficent and courteous, I had no issues! had a 10am appointment and they got me in early.
View on GoogleFirst of all, it isn't a bad neighborhood. My drivers pick up from here all the time. They're always loaded in a timely manner and the crew that does the loading is awesome. The shipper is friendly and very understanding especially for Hours of Service and these Electronic Log Books. There is hardly ever any wait time, and if there is, the driver is compensated and arrangements are made to accommodate delivery. Every receiver that they work with will wait for the truck to arrive. No complaints from us. Amazing job Chicago Mattress Co. :) -JP Freight, Inc.
