If you’re within a three hour drive I’d say it’s well worth the drive. We were in the market for a leather couch. That was it… a leather couch. Color, texture, thickness of leather, style, size, etc.. no clue. Green Front Furniture was awesome. The selections were almost too much to handle. But, we were not in a rush. Like a day at a park. We sat on every couch, looked at key rings full of swatches, firmness, thickness of leather, arm rest height, could we sit up straight or did we slouch. Yea… if you’re going to invest in a up scale of furniture, take your time. Luckily, we had Kim T. available to answer all our questions. Kim has 30 years experience in the business. Perfect. We took our time. A few hours later we decided on our new couch. Thank you Kim for the assistance. Once we were done we spent the rest of the day in Farmville. Beautiful town. BTW, we paid $150 for delivery. We are 1.5 hours away from Farmville. Also, when was the last time you received a call for delivery of anything and they gave you a 30 minute window for delivery? Usually four hours. Green Front Furniture absolutely professional beginning to end. Forget about the rest, I’ll make the drive to Green Front Furniture. Thanks Kim!!
View on GoogleLove green front! They have several warehouses and for the quality- the price is fair. Several people in my family have furniture from Green Front and I ended up with a couch, desk, and dresser for my new apartment. If you’re lucky like me you’ll find your items on clearance for savings! Their delivery drivers are amazing too. Living in downtown Richmond parking a big delivery truck is not easy at all and they were so nice and professional! Of course the people on the sales floor were very helpful too!
View on GoogleOur last visit hurt my heart. I was like a kid in a candy store who found out they had no candy. Over 30 years, we travel to Green Front in Farmville for our furniture. This says a lot because we live in NC and High Point is closer. Green front offer an amazing variety of furniture. Designer and expensive, but the upper floors and basements, were overstock discount furniture. You could get deep discounts and high quality. This is gone. Variety is limited and furniture is overpriced. The quality of the furniture is still excellent. The same furniture at Green Front was at least $500 to $1000 more than other furniture stores. For example, a polywood outdoor swivel chair was $1200 at Green Front. We found the same swivel chair in Raleigh for $569. Same story for dressers and headboards. I'm not sure what's happened but its not the same furniture shopping experience.
View on GoogleI rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Green Front Furniture was disappointing enough that I feel compelled to share it. Over multiple visits and on different days, I spent time in Buildings 7, 8, and 9 and was consistently ignored by staff. Not once was I greeted, asked if I needed assistance, or offered any help while shopping. What made the experience even more frustrating was watching other customers who did not look like me receive warm greetings, attentive service, and courteous assistance while I was seemingly overlooked. After my first visit, I brought my concerns to leadership. The manager I spoke with was apologetic, listened to my concerns, and genuinely seemed interested in making things right. I appreciated that conversation and left hopeful that my experience had been an exception. Unfortunately, when I returned two days later to continue shopping for furniture for a home remodel, the experience was even worse. Once again, I was largely ignored and made to feel unwelcome. At that point, it became difficult to view the situation as an isolated incident. When making a significant furniture purchase, customers should expect to be treated with respect, acknowledged when they enter a showroom, and offered assistance regardless of who they are. No customer should feel invisible while others around them receive attentive service. While Green Front may have an impressive selection of furniture, customer service is a critical part of the shopping experience. Based on my repeated experiences, I cannot recommend it as a place where every customer can expect to feel welcomed and valued..... Update: I believe it's important to update my original review because businesses deserve recognition when they make a genuine effort to address concerns. After speaking directly with the General Manager, I decided to return to Green Front today—and the experience was dramatically different. The change was immediately noticeable. I observed the General Manager actively walking the showroom, ensuring customers were being greeted, engaged, and assisted. That level of visible leadership made a meaningful difference. In fact, my experience improved so much that I ended up purchasing additional pieces for my home. I also want to specifically recognize Terrence, Serena, Debra, and Lisa, who each provided excellent customer service and made me feel welcome. They were professional, attentive, and demonstrated the type of customer experience I had hoped for from the beginning. While I did encounter one or two employees who could still benefit from additional customer service and soft-skills training, the overall improvement was significant. Bad experiences happen in every business. What ultimately defines an organization is how its leadership responds. The General Manager took my concerns seriously, acted on them, and the difference was evident. That deserves recognition. I rarely leave negative reviews, and I believe it's equally important to acknowledge positive change when it occurs. Green Front still has opportunities to continue strengthening consistency across all staff, but based on today's experience, I'm encouraged. The leadership team—especially the General Manager, along with Terrence, Serena, Debra, and Lisa—may very well be the people who restore Green Front's reputation one customer at a time. Thank you for listening, taking action, and demonstrating that customer feedback matters.
View on GoogleI had the best experience at Green Front Furniture this week and it was all due to finding the perfect rug for our dining space! Green Front Furniture has a marvel of a representative in Justin West. Luckily for me, he was behind the counter when I first arrived and offered his assistance. I brought one chair pillow and pictures of my room with measurements. He immediately steered my way to 2 separate rooms and made quick work of suggesting 4-6 strong contenders with helpful tips on rug quality, color and how each rug would work with the living room side of our space. With his help, I picked a beautiful rug in under an hour! After our sons placed the rug, there was no doubt that this purchase is a keeper. Thanks Green Front and special thanks to Justin!
