Elena’s was my original sales person. She was very knowledgeable I agree with all of the previous reviews. However, I don’t appreciate how when I went into the sale with her, she told me if I wanted to exchange the bed I got, I could get the difference back in the price. That is not the case. I spoke with Maria and Maria of course vouched for her saying she wouldn’t say that, that’s not our policy. But she in fact did, I remember because I was choosing between a bed that was 4k and the other bed was 1.5k (and apparently that bed isn’t even worth the 1.5k because Maria said it wouldn't have even last a few years), and after she spoke to me about exchanging I said oh great because the only other bed I would get would be that one, referencing the 1.5k bed.
I asked for a PLUSH bed. The first mattress I got was a temperpedic and it did mold to my body the way I wanted, but it was a stiff material. Not soft/plush like I wanted. I went to take it back for the other bed, and was told I could get the other bed if I wanted but I would have to pay the full amount for the temperpedic. I wouldn’t be receiving the difference.
I felt deceived, I ended up working with Maria. I really didn’t want to work with Elena again after that because she lied to me.
Maria kept insisting I was supposed to have a firm mattress for my best sleep. we tested my perfect mattress with their technology and sure enough it came back as she said, but I could never sleep on a firm comfortably. I was complaining the temperpedic was too firm why on earth would I purposefully select an actual firm mattress. I tried it in store just to satisfy her suspicion so she could stop recommending firm. Maria was way nicer and tried to help me out more than Elena so I appreciate her. She was working under the stupid policy of mattress warehouse. I tried every “soft” mattress in the store and not of them were plush. Maria said the kingdown mattress is the softest mattress they have so I just went with that since they wouldn’t refund me. Maria went over the receipt with me and it did say no refund in the paragraph she showed me, but right under that paragraph was another paragraph speaking about refunds I wish I would seen at that time.
I ended up getting a kings down because it is their softest mattresses. Maria was worried it was too soft. My request from the beginning was for a plush mattress due to sleeping on several plush mattresses and having the best sleep I’ve had in the years prior. The KingsDown mattress is NOT PLUSH!!!! It’s a medium mattress, doesn’t fit me at all. I cannot sleep, I cannot get comfortable. I even purchased an adjustable base. It doesn’t help. Every night I wake up multiple times, my back hurts when I get up, my blood pressure has gone up, my neck and shoulders hurt, to the point I HAVE to raise the head of the bed to relieve the pressure…I hate this mattress and I would never buy anything else from mattress warehouse. I really wish I could sue them, and I’m not someone who believes in settling matters through the courts. That’s just how angry I am. This is not a one and done experience, this experience replays every morning wake up. What a way to start the day.

Elena at Mattress Warehouse in La Plata was amazing. She was knowledgeable, patient, and made the whole process easy with zero pressure. She helped me pick out a king-size Sealy and an adjustable base, explained the differences clearly, and made sure everything fit my comfort needs and budget. If you’re shopping here, ask for Elena — she’s the best.

Elena and Marie are an AMAZING team! Came in on a Saturday and Marie started to help me, I had my two boys with me and she made sure they were occupied while we were looking for the best mattress. I found the one I liked and said I would be back Sunday with my wife to see if she liked the same one. Came in Sunday and Elena was there and she picked up right where Marie left off. We tried bed after bed, felt like Goldilocks. But after almost 1.5 hours of discussion and laying down we found the right bed for us. Once we had a bed picked the process was fast and had deliver set up for the next available date. Could not ask for a better team! I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a bed.

We had a wonderful vist to the Matress Warehouse in LaPlata MD. Elana Wagner and Marie Kalid were amazing to work with and helped my wife and myself to find the bed that was perfect for us. I highly recomend this store to anyone in need of a new matress!
