Outstanding experience at WG&R — ask for Joel! We recently purchased a recliner from WG&R and couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. Joel was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. He was incredibly knowledgeable — able to answer every question we had and help us find exactly what we were looking for without any hassle. On top of that, he was warm, friendly, and just a genuinely pleasant person to work with. The purchase process was smooth and straightforward, and we felt like we got outstanding value for our money. No surprises, no pressure — just honest, helpful service. And the recliner itself? Perfect. We love it! If you’re shopping at WG&R, do yourself a favor and ask for Joel. He made what can sometimes be an overwhelming process feel easy and enjoyable. We’ll definitely be coming back for future furniture needs and will be requesting him by name. Highly recommend!

When we walked in to WG&R, it was a bit overwhelming at first... But then Randy came and greeted us and began to explain the layout. It was far less intimidating with Randy by our side, steering is in the right direction. He asked about comfort level, color choice, children or pets; he was extremely helpful! Then, as if surrounded by a beam of light, we saw it... The chaise couch we were in search of! Whipped out the trusty tape measure and BOOM perfect length! Randy saw immediately that we were eyeing up this puppy to bring her home... So he sealed the deal and voila! After purchasing the chaise couch and ottoman, we also had time to look around at end tables and found a great one that will fit in perfectly next to our new addition! Thank you again Randy!! Staff are helpful and friendly. However, my experience was awful. I live 20 minutes southeast of Shawano. Appleton is farther than Green Bay, but I love the area and the shopping so I visit about once or twice a month. I recently put down money on a mattress earlier this year at the Appleton WG&R location. Just the other day, I came to pay in full and pick it up. Staff tell me they’ve moved it to their Green Bay distribution center…nowhere along the way has a single person told me it would be moved. I have already driven 40 minutes to this location, and now I needed to haul over to east Green Bay. Then of course I have to drive home from there. 40 minutes to Appleton, 40 minutes to Green Bay, and then 40 home plus the high price of gas these days. 80% of everything I own is secondhand. Getting a new mattress for life was supposed to be doing something good for myself, however with this I will never shop at a new furniture store again. Having me run around to get something I paid for is incredibly unfair.

Our sales agent, Randy was very nice. Showed us the area to look at lift chairs. Then let us look on our own and check back at polite intervals. Not pushy at all. Told us right away that WG&R waives sales tax on lift chairs, as they are a medical need. Also for just $30 they remove and dispose of my old one when they deliver the new chair. Very pleased with full experience.
