Edit 2: The owners post on Facebook didn't go according to plan, and his tune changed pretty quickly when other people shared their similar experiences and agreed with me. He changed the post and removed the screenshot of my review. Now he's removed the post. I still have screenshots and will be adding them. Hopefully he will actually listen to the issues he's clearly having from his team and, rather than try to blast someone on Facebook, and try to look into getting them fixed. His attitude in his Google review Reply as well as trying to drag me in Facebook shows how unprofessional he is. Come to find out the woman that was rude on multiple occasions was named Wendy. Edit: Since the store wanted to post this on Facebook, I also commented there - You are absolutely free to tag me on there as well since you wanted to share it. Mind you, I'm not the only low/one start review you have on Google or the comments. There are others complaining about the same thing. This was left before 10pm yesterday, if you really want to get technical, so not really "middle of the night". Why you ask? Because Google maps will ask for reviews on places you've been in the past, and I also reviewed several other used goods places in Geneva at the same time - though they got much better reviews because I've had much better interactions there. My bad for not understanding that she wasn't the owner, but she sure likes to act like she is. The only polite and friendly people I've met in this store is the shorter fellow that usually has a ball cap on and the dark haired young lady at the front. You'd probably have better reviews if you didn't have the taller light haired walking around and insinuating their customers are stealinq or pricing gouging when customers go to pay. I'm clearlv not the onlv one that has had these problems via your other reviews. (| can't post photos in the comments but I suggest others go look for yourself) -- Bargain City was much better when it first opened. I used to love going here, but the prices and attitudes are outrageous now. The young lady at the counter and shorter fellow that wears a hat and chats a lot, are really the only friendly people you will find here. They used to have a good selection that was worth looking through, but now there is a majority of items that honestly should've been put in the trash (broken things, unusable items, and poorly pieces that have been sitting there easily over 1-2+ years) & highly overpriced items. Often times there are no stickers and when asked, they will absolutely jack up the price ESPECIALLY the owner (woman). I like horse related items, such as Breyers, and she has been rude to me on numerous occasions, but one very memorable time, for bringing a Breyer horse up that was sitting on a shelf with the toys (unpriced) and asking for a price. The girl at the front gave me a standard toy price, to which the owner got snappy and gouged the price up, acting like I'd removed a sticker and referenced the other Breyers in the case up front (as if I could've somehow removed it from a locked case when I just walked in a few minutes prior??) I'm sorry if you have staff members that didn't sort items correctly or have issues with other customers removing tags but I cannot help that, and there is no reason tobe rude to me asking a question. If you have issues with these things, I would hope you have cameras (alongside the multiple staff members constantly walking up and down isles and watching people like hawks.) Aside from the almost harassing presence of the walking staff, it's very poorly lit in here and hard to see in most parts of the store. Prices are way higher than actual value on must things, it seems like someone is just looking at eBay "list" pricing and not actual sold pricing - I've seen several things priced at "like new" value when I'm reality they are very beat up and not worth half that.

View on GoogleLove this place. And trust me, it's not your average thrift or discount store. This place is HUGE, and has so many items that other thrift stores don't. Aisles of power tools, hardware, musical instruments, 1000's of DVDs, collectibles, you name it. They have so many niche collectibles it's incredible. Even have motorcycles, trucks, you have to check it out. We find stuff we like there every time we go. Worth bit of a drive, you can check out both Bargain City and Spikes Wholesale, they are a block from each other.
View on GoogleUsed to go there a lot, now that prices have gone up and quality has gone down, not so much anymore. But, if you walk around long enough, you can probably find just about anything you may want somewhere in the building.
