Had a good first experience, not a good second one. Bought a very expensive mattress, almost $3,000, and got it delivered. That was great. Went back to get a bunky board to go under the mattress, since it was suggested by the company delivery guy, and got charged a $50 delivery fee even though I've already paid a lot for the mattress. Then I never got a phone call for the ETA the day beforehand. So, I called the store, which didn't open until 10 a.m. and I asked that it be rescheduled. Then they argued that they did call and it MIGHT be possible to reschedule. I'm sorry if that's inconvenient for your delivery guys, but if I don't have an ETA and I have a busy day, it's also inconvenient for me. The guy on the other end of the phone was very rude to say the least. It's not appreciated from a customer who has spent a substantial amount of money for products that might live up to the company standards and reputation. However, you need good customer service as well, and unfortunately it fell short.

We love our new mattress! Our journey started at the Kentwood store with Rob who gave us so much valuable information and made excellent recommendations. We tried out several beds and then decided to leave and think about which one was the best for us. We were running errands a couple of days later and happen to spot the Northland Drive location and decided to stop in and lay on the beds again and make a decision. Adam was fantastic in helping finish the transaction and set up the delivery just a few days later. Very happy with how quickly we have a new mattress. The entire process went smoothly and stress free. Great service from the knowledgeable sales consultants and a quality mattress at a fair price.

About a month ago, on a very random night, my husband said to me I think we need a new bed. I couldn't have agreed more. A few days later, we had a free evening after work and decided to See what was out on the market, because with memorial day coming up, we knew mattress sales would be out and about.
Jonathan Stevens was our second stop, but it was also our final stop.
When we walked in, Autumn had greeted us, and when we said we're looking to make a purchase around Memorial Day, she informed us that they don't do sales because they already do as low as they can go. Also, Autumn informed us that every mattress is made to order, right here in Grand Rapids, Michigan! My husband and I are really big on supporting local businesses, so we knew our mattress had to come from here.
After about an hour or so, we settled on the Sandpoint mattress. We also decided to get a cooling mattress topper, because not only does it cool your bed, it protects your mattress!
We placed our order on Wednesday, our mattress was made on Friday, and then it was delivered for free on Monday!
It's been about two weeks with our mattress, and I have nothing but incredible things to say about it! We will be back very soon for a pillow fitting!! What can I say, we love our sleep!

I bought my mattress a year ago. I didn't want to leave a review until I had it for awhile. I love it! I bought 3 different mattresses (from other places) before I bought this one. When I tested the floor models of those other mattresses at the store, they felt nice but once I brought them home, I couldn't even sleep on them. They were so bad. I got them all from different stores. I ended up sleeping on the couch because they hurt my back so bad. The mattress I tested at Jonathan Stevens felt the same at the store as it did in my home. I finally found the one! It was such a relief! The Petoskey mattress has just the right amount of firmness and softness. I also love that the mattress was made just for me. They don't have a warehouse with hundreds of these mattresses sitting there, once you order, they make your mattress in Kentwood and you pick up at whatever store works best for you. I was told I could even go to Kentwood and watch my mattress being made; which I thought was pretty cool. It took me months of trial and error of buying from other stores to find the one that worked best. Save yourself the time, effort and cost of buying elsewhere and buy from Jonathan Stevens.

Adam greeted us as soon as we walked in the door! He was very knowledgeable, and professional, his customer service throughout the whole process of picking out which bed would be best for us, was extremely helpful! Customer service is very very important to us, and Jonathan Stevens did a great job training Adam in their products! Thank you Adam for making our experience there such a positive one!
