I was dreading on knowing the process of purchasing a bed and knowing how much out of pocket would be due. Jeannie made the whole process super easy. We went over one bed but the price was not in my budget. She knew I was scared and definitely helped me choose a different route and found one that was in my budget. She made it super comfortable and understood from a consumer side on price and budgeting. I had multiple questions and of course repeated myself over and over and she provided that reassurance. We had an outstanding, amazing experience with Mathis Furniture at the Quaker location in Lubbock, and it is entirely because of the incredible service provided by Jeannie Henderson, the store manager. We originally purchased an Intellibed, and from the very beginning Jeannie was smart, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. She clearly knows her products inside and out and made us feel completely taken care of during a very significant purchase. After living with the bed for about two months, we realized it simply wasn’t the right fit for us. For the price point, we were disappointed and honestly nervous about going back. Jeannie immediately put us at ease. There was zero pressure and zero awkwardness. She listened, understood our concerns, and confidently guided us back to the brand we already knew and loved — Purple. She handled the exchange seamlessly, coordinated the swap date and time, and stayed in consistent, proactive communication with us every step of the way. What truly sets her apart is what happened next. The delivery was scheduled for the day before the big winter storm, and on her day off, Jeannie personally came out to help ensure the delivery happened on time — even assisting the driver and helping with the setup. That level of dedication is rare. The delivery and install team — Winfred, Christopher, and James — were fantastic: professional, friendly, efficient, and clearly took pride in their work. When a small fabric tear was discovered on the mattress, Mathis handled it flawlessly and replaced it promptly, with excellent communication throughout. From sales to service to follow-through, this was a masterclass in customer care.
