Best Mattress Stores in Conway, South Carolina [2026 Guide]

Quick Mattress Store Comparisons

Here's a fast look at what each store brings to the table so you can figure out which one fits your situation before you ever leave the house.

Top Mattress Stores in Conway

Conway has more options than most people realize. Here's an honest breakdown of each store so you know exactly what to expect when you walk in.

Mattress Direct Conway

Mattress Direct Conway on Church Street is one of the few spots in town that focuses almost entirely on mattresses rather than splitting attention across a whole furniture floor. That focus tends to mean the staff actually knows their product, and you're less likely to feel like you're wandering through a warehouse trying to flag someone down. (Elite Retailer)

They carry a solid selection across multiple comfort levels and price points, with queens generally starting in the budget-friendly range and going up from there depending on brand and features.

Best for: Shoppers who want to talk to someone who knows mattresses specifically and not just furniture in general.

Carolina Appliance and Furniture

Carolina Appliance and Furniture on Laurel Street comes highly recommended by our audience, making it a genuine top pick for Conway shoppers. People around here consistently point to the staff's helpfulness and the fact that you can pick up a mattress, a bed frame, and a refrigerator all in one trip without feeling like you're being pushed toward the priciest option on the floor. That kind of low-pressure, practical shopping experience is hard to find and it shows up again and again in what locals say about this place. The store has built a real reputation in the community, and that reputation has held up over time.

Pricing lands in the mid-range for most mattress options, which feels fair given the selection and the service you get alongside it.

Best for: Audience favorite - anyone furnishing a home or bedroom from top to bottom who wants solid service without the runaround.

Farmers Home Furniture

Farmers Home Furniture sits in the Coastal Centre Shopping Center on Church Street and is part of a regional chain with deep roots in the Southeast. The big draw here is their financing options - if you need to spread payments out, this is worth a serious look. The in-store selection covers both mattresses and the furniture you'd put around them.

Queens typically start on the lower end of the price spectrum, and promotional deals pop up often enough that it's worth asking what's currently running when you visit.

Best for: Buyers who need flexible financing or prefer working with a brand they may already recognize from other towns.

Delivery Considerations

Buying a mattress in Conway means you'll want to think through delivery before you finalize anything. Most local stores offer delivery within the Conway area and nearby Horry County communities, but the details vary a lot from store to store - and sometimes even deal to deal.

Ask each retailer upfront about delivery windows. Some offer same-week delivery, especially if they stock what you're buying locally. Others may need a week or more if the item is coming from a warehouse or distribution center out of state. Getting a specific date in writing matters more than most people realize until they're sleeping on the floor waiting.

Haul-away of your old mattress is another thing to confirm early. Some stores include it, some charge extra, and some don't offer it at all. If you're in a smaller home or apartment and don't have an easy way to dispose of a mattress yourself, this is a conversation worth having before you pay. Setup service - where the delivery team assembles a frame or places the mattress properly - is also offered selectively, so ask. Before you head out to shop, take a look at our mattress shopping checklist to make sure delivery questions are on your list.

Mattress Buying Guide

Shopping for a mattress doesn't have to feel complicated. A little preparation goes a long way, especially when you're walking into a showroom and a salesperson is ready to steer you in whatever direction earns them the best margin.

Understanding Firmness Levels

Firmness is probably the most personal part of choosing a mattress, and it's the piece that's hardest to judge from a website or a label. A "medium" from one brand can feel totally different from a "medium" at another. The only real way to know is to lie down on it for a few minutes in a position you actually sleep in - not just sit on the edge.

As a general starting point: side sleepers tend to do better on softer surfaces that let hips and shoulders sink in slightly. Back and stomach sleepers usually need more support, which means a firmer feel. If you share a bed with someone whose preference is different from yours, you may want to look at split options or a mattress that balances both needs without going too far in either direction. Check out our full mattress buying guide for a deeper look at firmness and sleep position matching.

Size Selection Strategy

The right mattress size depends on more than just how big your room is. Think about who's sleeping on it and how much they move around. A full-size mattress can work fine for a single adult who doesn't sprawl, but it gets cramped quickly for couples, especially if one person runs warm or shifts positions frequently.

Measure your room before you go shopping. A king-size mattress in a small bedroom can leave you with almost no floor space, which creates its own problems. Queens are the most common choice for couples in average-sized bedrooms, and they fit most standard bedroom furniture without taking over the room. If you're not sure what size makes sense for your space, our mattress size guide walks through it clearly with room dimension recommendations.

Budget Planning

A reasonable mattress budget in 2026 for most Conway shoppers falls somewhere between $400 and $1,200 for a queen, depending on type and quality. You can find cheaper options - and some of them are fine for guest rooms or short-term situations - but for a mattress you'll sleep on every night, spending a little more tends to pay off over time.

Keep in mind that the sticker price isn't always the final price. Ask about current promotions, package deals if you're also buying a base or frame, and financing terms if you need to spread it out. Use our mattress budget calculator to get a realistic number before you start shopping - it helps you walk in with confidence instead of guessing on the fly.
