I first went to Factory Direct Mattress in Overland Park, KS, because they featured many “bed-in-a-box” brands that are hard to find elsewhere. Some of the premium brands they carry include Helix, Winkbed, Nectar and Puffy, plus many others. The opportunity to try these mattresses out before committing to buy them was a huge benefit.
When I entered the store, a sales associate named Mike Park was busy helping another couple. Mike was very courteous and explained that he would assist my wife and I when he was finished. We learned a lot of valuable information by simply listening to what Mike had to say. He was obviously very knowledgeable about their entire mattress product line. I saw immediately that the store was clean and in good order.
When it came to our turn, Mike was very patient while my wife and I tried many different mattresses, sometimes the same one over and over. Mike never rushed us and provided detailed pros and cons to each mattress we tested. Mike explained the product information in a way that was easy to understand for someone without technical knowledge of mattresses (like me).
I thought it was very impressive that Mike did not steer us towards the most expensive mattress in the store. In fact, by asking specific questions, Mike was able to determine which mattress best fit our needs. In our case, this was by far not the most expensive mattress they had to offer. Mike even cautioned us not to make a decision right away, and to come back several times to test out the mattresses to make sure we purchased the right one.
In our case, we decided to go with the more expensive Helix Twilight Elite mattress. Mike did an outstanding job of matching my wife and me up with the exact Helix Elite model that would provide the best night's sleep for both of us. I suffer from back and neck pain, so this was very important for me.
When it came to pricing, I did not have to haggle with Mike to get the best price. The number he quoted me was by far less than anything I had seen online or at big stores like NFM. Mike explained the entire purchasing process and answered every question I had.
I did not know what to expect when I first entered Factory Direct Mattress, but I am a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend it to anyone. I thought Mike was a true professional and was fantastic to work with.

We had a fantastic experience at Factory Direct Mattress. Mike was knowledgeable, zero sales pressure, and helped us find the perfect mattress (Leesa Sapira Chill Hybrid) for less than we budgeted -- and less than buying it directly from Leesa online. If you're mattress shopping, skip the big box stores and come here first. We'll definitely be back.

We had such a great experience at Factory Direct Mattress! I loved that we were able to make an appointment and were the only people in the store. Greg was such a huge help in helping us figure out what type of bed would work best for us. We are very happy with our purchase and with the service we received.

Worked with Mike and Greg to find the perfect mattress! I didn't feel pressured or rushed during the entire process at all. They were able to explain all the details and add-on options for various mattresses. They have a large selection of mattresses that are usually only available online and not at large chain mattress stores. I was able to get the best price at the Factory Direct Mattress Store, and they were able to ship it out of town to my new home. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough positive things about Factory Direct Mattress. I previously had a DreamCloud mattress that I loved, but at some point the company changed the way they made them. When I went to buy a king-size version for our bedroom, it just wasn’t the same. It was close, but slightly off from what I needed, and I kept waking up with back pain.
I started researching alternatives and quickly realized how hard mattress shopping has become when so much is online. The options at bigger stores like Nebraska Furniture Mart also didn’t really fit what I was looking for in a firmer mattress.
I ended up going to Factory Direct Mattress and I’m really glad I did. Ellen and Mike helped me on two separate visits and were incredibly patient walking me through different mattress types and firmness options. Between their expertise and the research I had already done, I finally found a mattress that works well for me.
What stood out most was that they genuinely listened instead of pushing a sale. They were knowledgeable, flexible, kind, and clearly cared about helping me find the right fit. I can’t recommend them enough.
