Sit 'n Sleep

So I visited this location in Whittier on Saturday 5/23/2026 at 12:30pm for their Memorial Day weekend sale and I was very disappointed in the customer service I received upon my arrival. There were 3 employees, one woman and 2 men sitting in in one area. There were ZERO customers besides my wife and I. When we walked in, I felt like I was in some southern town where I didn't belong. The way the two salesman look at us and ignored us was very rude and disrespectful. I guess walking in wearing a tshirt and baseball cap made them feel as I was a poor person asking for a free mattress. The must be their corporate way. I turned around and walked away with not one person asking us any questions. HORRIBLE customer service. Well folks, I recommend Othro Mattress a couple miles away from this dump. Chad greeted us the moment we walked in and entertained all our questions. Thank you Chad at Ortho Mattress for helping us choose the best mattress. Not one but two purchases were made. He was not judgemental nor rude. You did what the sales people at Sit n Sleep couldn't do. I'm sure Larry Miller would not be happy with this professionalism at his Whittier location.

Angie was super helpful and patient with us as we tested many mattresses. The store was bright and clean as well! Ended up with a Temper Pedic product. Very happy with the service and especially Angie.

Had a great experience at Sit & Sleep in Whittier, CA. If you’re shopping for a mattress, I highly recommend asking for Jose Medina. He gave us plenty of time to actually try out different beds and walked us through the pros and cons of each one based on what would realistically work for us. There was zero pressure the entire time. We were able to come in, explore, and leave without feeling rushed or pushed into anything. We visited a few other stores expecting a similar experience, but the level of care and attention just wasn’t the same. That ultimately brought us back to purchase from Jose. Definitely recommend if you want a low-stress, informative buying experience.

Since moving into the area, we were looking for a new place to buy a mattress since the move. Jose was a huge help in getting us our mattress, he was polite and explained everything for us. Great experience for me and my family.

This was my second time going to the same sit and sleep. I wanted to do a little more research prior to my purchase; I went in and Ralph helped me again, my initial visit he had me do the video of what type of mattress would be best for me. He’s very knowledgeable and is great with giving information regarding the different types of mattresses.. I ended up getting a king size. Kingsdown , I needed a medium to firm mattress, so I got a firm with a pillow top. I ended up purchasing the mattress that same day and it was delivered today just two days later.. I was impressed with the delivery process and the set up of my new bed.. I would definitely recommend a sit and sleep in Whittier., Not only do they have a huge selection, but they also have great customer service And I’m very pleased with my purchase.
