Bel Furniture - San Antonio

I am giving this company one star because I am extremely disappointed with Bel’s delivery timeframe and lack of communication. On March 15th, I placed an order for four items: a wooden table, chair, ottoman, and couch. The confirmation email stated that the estimated arrival time would be 10–14 business days. That estimate was off by a ridiculous amount of time. Because we spent over $2,000, we received complimentary shipping. However, on March 31st, the wooden table arrived completely unassembled via UPS. At no point during the purchase process was I informed that I would be responsible for assembling the table myself. As time went by, I received no updates regarding the remaining items. I had to contact customer service multiple times just to find out when the rest of my order would arrive. Each time, the delivery date changed. I was told they could not guarantee an arrival date because it depended on when the furniture reached the port. It is unacceptable for a company to take a customer’s money without being able to provide a reliable delivery timeline. After significant back-and-forth communication, the couch and chair were finally delivered at 9:00 p.m. on April 15th. The ottoman was delivered even later, on May 1st. While the pieces themselves look very nice, the lack of communication and extreme delivery delays (without any proactive notice) have left me with a terrible impression of this company. I will not be purchasing from them again.

I had an amazing experience at this furniture store! Lydia (the manager) and Derrick (the salesman) were AMAZINGLY incredible from start to finish. I was pretty indecisive about choosing a bedroom set, but they were patient, knowledgeable, and very straightforward throughout the entire process. They made everything feel easy and stress-free.
