Furniture Fair

The WORST QUALITY STUFF!!! My partner and I have bought a mattress and bed frame from this place and with in a year the mattress is shot and after spending 2 grand!! on a bed frame in 2 months the center supports snap from under us and before that it creaked like crazy! We are not extremely large people I weight 230 and my partner 150. We do have a new born so we are on and off it a lot but come one in 2 months and bed frame is already unusable!! We tried calling and I went back to the store probably 10 times to exchange it or return it but they just keep sending people out to try and fix it. One of the people that came out told us that because it has wood in the bedframe it is going to creak… I said that should be something they tell us before we spend $2,000 on a bed frame and that it did not creak when we tested it in the store. If I knew it would have creaked I wouldn’t have bought a loud bed frame with a new born in the room! My mother also bought a 4 grand couch from them and it was broken within the year too. So if you get something from here yes it may look nice but it is complete crap. Cheaply made with still high prices!

I would like to take a moment to recognize the outstanding customer service provided by the President of Furniture Fair in Jacksonville, NC. Despite the unfortunate situation of my king-size headboard detaching from the frame,the level of care and attention I received truly stood out. After I contacted the store, they quickly arranged to pick up my headboard and order the necessary replacement parts. While there was an issue with the item upon return and it sustained additional damage, I was highly impressed by the professionalism, responsiveness, and commitment shown by leadership in addressing the concern. The president demonstrated genuine concern, accountability, and a strong dedication to making things right. It is rare to encounter leadership so directly involved and invested in customer satisfaction. Their willingness to resolve the issue and ensure a positive outcome speaks volumes about the company’s values and integrity. Despite the initial challenges, the exceptional service and follow-through turned the situation into a positive experience. I truly appreciate the effort and would recommend Furniture Fair for their commitment to standing behind their customers.

Last month, my husband and I went in to browse the furniture selection at Furniture Fair. We were immediately met with Jon who seemed very friendly at first. We weren’t planning on buying a couch that day, but found one we liked and decided to purchase it. We asked Jon for a quote on the couch and ottoman, he came back and gave us a number. We then began the process of buying the couch. To which now, I regret ever doing business with this establishment. At the time there was a special for 12-month interest free financing. My husband inquired about if this would require a hard credit check. Jon replied that it was not and wouldn’t affect his credit too harshly and was OVERLY reassuring that it wasn’t that big of a deal…well a month later we are finding out that was not true. After doing the process for the financing, Jon came back with the papers and the ACTUAL amount for the couch and ottoman which was over hundred dollars more than what he quoted us before we agreed to purchase (before taxes). But, at that point, my husband had already gone through the process of giving his personal information, so we still went through with buying the items. Before we finalized the purchase, Jon tried to sell us a protection plan for the couch and ottoman. At that point I was already quite upset that the total had increased from what he originally told us and was pretty fed up with the whole ordeal. My husband and I declined the protection plan. After we said no, Jon went to walk away, then turned around with a condescending tone and manner and questioned as to why we didn’t want to get the plan because “everyone always gets the protection plan.” I responded with a very honest answer that I simply would not go through the effort to actually contact someone to have a minor scratch or tear repaired. He then questioned me again with, “it’s just a simple phone call?” After he said that, if my husband hadn’t gone through the hassle of financing the couch I would have walked away and said we’re not buying anything. Needless to say, we will never be doing business with Furniture Fair in Jacksonville again.

Do not purchase anything from this store!!! Yes, they’re friendly & nice, but when you’ve spent $2000 on a recliner that breaks in less than a year, they’ll give you the biggest runaround, quote you fees in excess of $500 & how they can’t pick it up or deliver it & so & so on. Yea!,…avoid this sales establishment at all cost! Lived in this town for years, made several purchases from this store & the 1st time I had an issue, it was nothing but a game of contacts & quotes & talk to this person or that and at no point was their interest on assisting me with a broken $2000 recliner!!
