Finding genuinely safe and high-quality furniture for our baby was our top priority. After much research, we decided on Green Cradle, and our experience, from the showroom visit to using the products daily, has been exceptional.
Excellent In-Store Experience:
Before ordering, we visited the Green Cradle showroom in Sherman Oaks to see the quality for ourselves, which we highly recommend doing if you can. This was a fantastic decision. We had the pleasure of speaking with Edward, who was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about their products. He happily took the time to walk us through the entire process – explaining in detail how the 100% solid wood furniture is crafted right here in the USA, the specifics of their non-toxic finishes, and the benefits of the organic mattress materials. Seeing the substantial feel of the wood, appreciating the craftsmanship firsthand, and hearing about their unwavering commitment to safety directly from Edward solidified our confidence. This level of transparency and service was impressive.
Based on this experience and our needs, we purchased the Childspose Convertible Bassinet-to-Crib Combo and the Made in USA Solid Wood Dresser (both in the beautiful Walnut finish), along with the GOLS Organic Latex Crib Mattress.
Bassinet/Crib Combo & Dresser (Walnut): The quality is immediately apparent. This is real solid wood – sturdy, heavy, and beautifully crafted. Unlike other brands we considered, like Babyletto and Nestig, which often advertise "solid wood" but use veneers or engineered wood components, Green Cradle's pieces are truly 100% solid hardwood through and through. The walnut finish is gorgeous, and there was absolutely NO chemical smell upon arrival – just the faint, pleasant scent of natural wood. Knowing these pieces are Made in the USA adds another layer of confidence. The convertible nature of the bassinet/crib means this furniture will grow with our child for years, making it a lasting investment.
GOLS Organic Crib Mattress: This mattress is fantastic. You can tell it's made from high-quality, natural materials – the GOLS certified organic latex, GOTS certified organic wool, and GOTS certified organic cotton cover are top-notch. Most importantly, there was zero off-gassing. Knowing our baby is sleeping on a surface completely free from flame retardants, polyurethane foam, and other harmful chemicals provides incredible peace of mind.
We did a lot of research and many companies play word games with "solid wood." Green Cradle's transparency and commitment to genuinely non-toxic, 100% solid wood construction, and Made in USA manufacturing set them apart. Our visit to the Sherman Oaks store and conversation with Edward further proved their dedication.

I am so grateful that Green Cradle exists! If you’re looking for beautiful, solid wood, nontoxic furniture, this is the place to go. With so many companies greenwashing these days, it’s hard to know who to trust, but Green Cradle is a breath of fresh air. Edward and his team made our entire experience so smooth and personal—they were there for us every step of the way, from the ordering process to helping us continue to care for our item a year later. I can’t recommend them enough! They truly go above and beyond, and it’s rare to find such genuine care and quality.

4-in-1 convertible Childspose Slat Crib + Crib Toddler Rail - Solid wood with metal hardware, straightforward basic components as furniture should be.
Cold-pressed linseed oil is the only food-safe finish option that protects the wood adequately. This is common knowledge to those familiar with woodworking. Any other finish applied to wood (i.e. paint, wax, other oils), poses a higher risk to environmental safety (e.g. allergy symptoms, eczema or conditions, headaches). No other companies offer this, so this is a great finish option offered by Green Cradle vs. leaving it unfinished.
Crib Organic Latex Mattress - Latex (four inches thick!!!) provides extra-firm support with wool/cotton (best option to meet fire safety standards) cover.
This is the best option for both children and adults. No other companies offer 4 inches of latex for crib mattresses (majority one or two inches mixed with cheaper filler materials).
I experienced a slight delay with receiving my order in December. Spoke with Edward and turned out package was lost with UPS somewhere. Crib mattress was re-made, shipped, and delivered before the New Year. Entire process a good experience overall despite the hiccup.

I have never left a bad review of anything, until now. The customer service is abhorrent. We ordered our crib and crib mattress on April 10. Their shipping policy says all furniture will ship out in 13-14 weeks. We did not receive our crib until October 5 – SIX MONTHS (25 WEEKS) LATER, and received the WORST customer service I have ever experienced throughout the process. My baby was already 1 month old by the time our crib arrived.
As stated, their shipping policy says all furniture will ship out in 13-14 weeks. We inquired about our order periodically (every few weeks) after the 14 weeks had passed, and the owner, Edward, gave us delay tactic after delay tactic including “lumber shortages”, “it’s in the drying room”, “the shipping agent encountered bad weather” without ever apologizing, or even acknowledging the ridiculous delay. He kept stating “it will be there in a few weeks”, or “it was shipped and will be there next week”, meanwhile the crib did not show up, and there was no communication from Edward or the freight company. By the time October came, he even stated that he would bump us up to “expedited shipping, and as a courtesy will cover the expedited shipping costs” – our crib was already 6 MONTHS LATE – how could this even remotely be considered “expedited”? Furthermore, the process of tracking the shipment is ridiculous, as you have to use the Shop app, which includes absolutely no information at all (no tracking number, no contact info etc.), so there is no way to track your order.
The crib is beautiful, but the wait, stress, and anxiety of having our baby without her crib, even though we ordered it in plenty of time before her birth, was not worth it, and the obtuseness of the owner made the experience beyond aggravating.
Unless you want to deal with unprofessional, rude, and bizarre customer service and wait literally 6 months for your order to arrive, stay away!

If having a non-toxic, VOC free crib and mattress for your baby is important to you, then look no further. This place, and Edward in particular, are the best. I've searched high and low for solid wood cribs that are not coated in chemicals or finishes and this is the ONLY place that sells cribs that fit the bill. There are a FEW online retailers of solid wood cribs, but all of them either stain the wood, or use a cheap light colored wood, and NONE of them have any style to them. Edward's cribs are beautiful, made of solid wood in the color of the wood species, and completely organic. I really don't understand the negative reviews for him or the store... Perhaps they're just competitors? We've bought THREE cribs and THREE mattresses from Edward and our experience was ALWAYS top notch. He's responsive to calls. He replies to email quickly, and he was always polite and professional in the store. He would give us information, but then let us have time to discuss things privately. He wasn't pushy or rude in any way. He would even email us updates about shipping and such. There was even an issue with our first order, and he made everything right immediately without any hassle. We've had 2 of the cribs for almost 2 years now and they're just as beautiful as when we first got them. You can shop with confidence at Green Cradle.
