Hank's Fine Furniture

I had a really good experience at Hank’s Furniture. The store had a big selection and everything was organized well, so it was easy to look around and find what I liked. The staff was helpful without being pushy, which I appreciated. They answered my questions and helped me figure out what would work best for the space. The quality of the furniture looked solid and the prices felt fair compared to other places I’ve checked out. Overall it was a smooth experience and I’d definitely recommend stopping by if you’re looking for new furniture. Also Thank you to Darby she helped us out find our couch!!

Thanks Hanks and thank you Darby for being so nice and supportive on our decisions picking furniture for our home. She really is amazing and kind. If you ever come here, you really need to meet her and she will help you for anything you need. Hanks has many choices for everyone and it’s number one.

Lucas and Nathan were both very helpful! Went in to look but found the info we needed and they made shopping easy and stress free. Left with a couch ordered and a mattress bought! Highly recommend both of these associates!

My wife and I went to Hanks Furniture in Panama City planning to purchase about $1,500 worth of items (a dresser and two shoulder pillows). Unfortunately, the checkout experience completely killed the sale. At checkout, the sales associate (Darby) insisted on collecting our full name, address, and phone number to create a customer profile before we could complete the purchase. When I asked why that information was necessary for a simple in-store transaction, she claimed “all furniture stores do this” and that it was required. She also said they wouldn’t contact us, which raises the obvious question: why require the data at all? When I questioned the policy, the response became patronizing rather than helpful. There was no financing, delivery, warranty, or loyalty program involved, just a straightforward purchase. Requiring personal information for a basic point-of-sale transaction with no clear explanation of how it’s used is a legitimate privacy concern. Between the mandatory data collection, lack of transparency, and dismissive customer service, we chose to walk out and abandon a $1,500 purchase. There is no reason a furniture store should require that level of personal information just to buy a dresser.

Run. Don’t walk. I read reviews and filter out ppl I feel may be a bit over the top. I always make an attempt to help a business understand how they failed to meet my expectations which honestly is very rare. If I owned a business, I’d want to know poor feedback in order to correct it. Hank’s is poorly run overall. I had a disagreement with the store manager who is referenced in earlier Yelp & Google posts. Sadly, the posts are accurate from my experience. I called corporate giving them two biz days to return my call. No call. You can’t reach anyone by phone at corporate offices either was my experience. Speaks volumes to me overall. We went to Hank’s specifically to purchase Stressless recliners which are an investment. Customer service is not Hank’s focus. The sell is. I do not recommend Hank’s Fine Furniture. Most of the furniture is just a step above Rooms to Go or equal. Get everything in writing and read the fine print is my suggestion should you choose to shop here.
