Mattress Makers

Matt was very informative. He was not to pushy, nice and understood that I wanted to buy a mattress. Matt knew his product very well and willing to back it up. These guys really are matressologists when it comes to the science of a good mattress. He also expedited my delivery because of the fact that I am moving into a new house and wants me to be comfortable as soon as I move in. Can’t wait to try the new mattress. Thanks Matt.

I can only comment on the purchasing experience at this time since my wife and I just placed our order for a Cardiff king mattress. We discovered Mattress Makers through their videos on YouTube while we were researching getting a new mattress. Visiting our local big-name chain mattress store was discouraging and enlightening. It seemed our anticipated spend was unrealistic for the kind of mattress we wanted. I visited Mattress Maker’s website and liked their products and approach to making and marketing mattresses. I requested a call and soon after was contacted by Matt. The assistance I received from Matt was exemplary - one of the best experiences I can recall in making a relatively large purchase. We spoke to Matt a few times before making a decision to buy a Mattress Makers mattress. There was absolutely no pressure or rush applied to make a hasty decision. I will update when we receive the new mattress and can sleep on it for a bit. But the purchasing experience with Matt gives me confidence that we made a good decision.

I learned about Mattress Makers from very helpful videos they have on YouTube to educate mattress buyers. (And, I highly recommend reviewing their list and watching those that speak to your needs. Done with a light touch, they're excellent and you'll get a feel for who this family of mattress makers is.) When I finally decided to buy long distance in order to be able to buy more mattress for what I had to spend, Ken Johnson guided me to making what I consider to be a good purchase. I've been totally pleased with the honesty, quality and service from start to finish. My big need: Pressure point relief, and a soft latex mattress was definitely the way to go. Yet, when I started researching, I would never have even thought of it! Honestly, I can hardly wait to lie down on my mattress, and I hate getting up! Bottom line: This is a great family company selling top-quality mattresses at a good price, and I gladly recommend them. One caveat: Just get really clear on the qualities that you need/want in a mattress first so they can help guide you to a good choice. My thanks to a great team at Mattress Makers!

I have wanted to get a new pillow for awhile, but I didn't want to spend a lot (first mistake). I've been to Mattress Makers in La Mesa a couple of times before, and knew of their product quality and great customer service, but their pillows cost more than what I wanted to spend. I looked online (second mistake) and at department stores (third mistake), but I wasn't happy with any of the products. Over the Memorial Day weekend I came to the conclusion it was time to go to Mattress Makers. Juliana assisted me and was absolutely wonderful. She was warm, personable, accommodating, and knowledgeable. And she didn't have any sales pitches and wasn't pushy. Even though I was interested in just buying a pillow, she was very attentive and listened. I'm really glad I purchased my pillow from them. It is customized for me, with me choosing the type and amount of stuffing. I'm very happy with the product. It was worth the money. And besides, since pillows can't be returned, I probably would have spent the same or more trying out pillows from online or department stores. I wish I had gone to Mattress Makers from the beginning. I could have saved myself time and stress. In the near future, they will be the first place we will go to buy a new mattress.

We had a really great experience with Mattress Makers. They took their time with my wife and me walking us through the different products, educating us, and letting us try everything without any pressure. We never felt like they were just trying to sell us something, which made a huge difference. We ended up purchasing new pillows since we had already bought a mattress last year, but honestly, if we had known about this location sooner, we would have come here for our mattress as well. Overall, it was a great experience, and you can really tell they have a lot of expertise. We’ll definitely be back in the future for any pillows or mattresses.
