Guss is awesome, Guss is great. We told him we would sleep on slate. He showed us to the perfect mattress. Nothing rhymes with mattress. Seriously, Guss at Mattress Mart in Kalamazoo made shopping for an extra firm mattress a breeze, and fun besides. He listened to our concerns, made a quick call to check availability, and found us a solution immediately. The delivery guys worked to our schedule (for $49 they took our old mattress away for recycling), and now we’re sleeping fantastically every night. Highly recommend this company. Oh and the mattress we bought was the Petoskey, made in-state by a Michigan company.

My wife and I purchased our new mattress at the Kalamazoo store. Our salesman was a wonderful gentleman by the name of Guss (not a typo). He was very informative, with an ample side dish of humor. The encounter could not have gone better. A week later, our mattress was delivered. Two very nice gents removed our old box springs and mattress, brought in the new mattress and box springs, and were done within 10 minutes. Last night, we slept on the new mattress for the first time; it was very comfortable. We would heartily recommend a visit to Guss (not a typo) if you are in need of a new mattress.

I want to give all the stars on a clear night with no moon! You know how you have a list in your head for a big purchase? For a mattress mine was 1) comfort (extra firm nearly impossible) and 2) how soon can it arrive (needed it yesterday)? Short list but it's been tough getting a mattress. I had a budget at one point but to be honest, I really needed sleep more than cash. Imagine my delight when the short list was expanded to include: local maker, local showroom, a mattress so firm it was named for the state stone, AND it was reasonably priced which means even my budget was happy. Oh and they would recycle my old mattress. But I never had Guss on any list. He thrives in a world of his own, populated with humor, charm and exceptional product knowledge. He lead me to The Petoskey and had to make me try one other (too soft, although firmer than most, test lasted less than 5 seconds). I went back to The Petoskey and hoped for delivery in under 6 weeks. He called and they had one they could deliver immediately. The delivery guys were fast and super friendly. From showroom to the delivery, Mattress Mart is awesome. Fantastic sleep ever since.

We had Gus’s on Drake Rd, he was so great! Worked with my 94 year old mother to get her the right mattress at the right height for her. Great price, delivered the next day took old mattress for recycling minimal fee. He was kind mom gave him a hug. We’ll be buying a new mattress soon too from Guss

I absolutely love walking into this store! The sales staff are always nice, always accommodating, very knowledgeable about there product, and will tell you straight. There is never any pressure to buy. Nor will they try to direct you to the most expensive mattress. My family has relied on them for my son's as they got older and taller Mattress Mart could always accommodate a solution at a great price. I just purchased an adjustable bed and a very nice soft mattress...I HIGHLY recommend you do the same!!! The delivery was seamless, they arrived as planned, carried the frame and mattress upstairs! Set the bed up to my preferences, and took the packaging with them. All of this in a short time, they impressed me and reflect what I love about this store!! Sleep in peace on a reliable frame and mattress with impressive warranties! To me that means I will have this wonderful bed for many years to come!!
