Very rude salesman working this location on Friday 6/19 around 4pm. Not everyone is a furniture expert or sells chairs as a job, acted very bothered like my friend and I were asking stupid questions.

I ordered a custom chair from this store and have owned it for about six months. I paid roughly $3,000 for it, and overall, I am thoroughly unimpressed. While the chair offers many adjustment options, none of them result in a configuration that is genuinely comfortable. I have tried every possible adjustment combination and can confidently say there is no position in which this chair provides the level of comfort one would reasonably expect at this price point.
The chair does include lumbar support, but it is inadequate. Despite extensive adjustments, it does not provide sufficient support for my lower back, and I am forced to use an additional cushion to achieve proper lumbar support. For a chair marketed as ergonomic and premium, this should not be necessary.
The seat design is another major issue. The side bolsters were so aggressive that they caused significant discomfort after short periods of sitting. I ultimately removed the lower seat and reshaped the foam myself just to make it usable. The reclining feature is also disappointing, offering perhaps 30 degrees of recline at most, and that is a generous estimate.
The build quality is particularly concerning. I am an engineer with a background in metal fabrication and welding, and from a construction standpoint, this chair appears hastily manufactured. The materials, fit, and overall execution do not align with the premium price being charged.
In hindsight, I would have been better off purchasing an inexpensive chair and modifying it, as I ended up doing with this one anyway. I would have saved thousands of dollars. I am not seeking a refund or credit, but prospective buyers should be aware that expensive does not necessarily mean comfortable or well-built—at least not in the case of Relax The Back and Lifeform chairs.

I walked in looking for an office chair that would bring comfort and protect my health while working. Cody gave me a wide range of choices and never tried to upsell me anything or get pushy. He paid attention to how I sat and how the chairs fit, he made adjustments, and he showed a level of expertise I didn’t know existed for chairs. I ended up spending about 8x more than I expected to, and I’m 100% happy with the purchase. I invested in my health and comfort the easy way (not through back surgery later in).
edit: Update after 2 months with this chair, the pain I was experiencing for for several months prior in my upper back has been completely eliminated. The Lifeform chair is crazy good.

The staff was very helpful. I bought a new Human Touch Zero Gravity, which I’m enjoying. If you have back issues I recommend this chair, it’s worth all the money.

I would shop at Relax the Back again. My experience was very good, from consulting with the sales representative in the store to the delivery of the chair I ordered. I had been shopping for chairs for over a year, so I knew what I was looking for and the questions I wanted answered. My questions were answered to my satisfaction by Cody Paz, and from the moment I sat in the Anthros chair, I knew it would work for me.
I chose self-delivery and thought I would have help to move the chair from my car up two flights of stairs. I was wrong. Cody agreed to help me move the chair. On moving day, I got caught up on the phone with an Internet provider. Cody waited upwards of an hour to help me get the chair to the office. He pleasantly greeted me, moved the chair, adjusted it, and then left. I'm very satisfied with the service from Relax the Back and the Anthros chair.
