We have bought several pieces from the Sleep Shoppe: a queen mattress and bed that lifts up and down, a queen sofa bed, a lift chair, a swivel armchair, and more. Always great customer service and advice. The owner, Peter, goes above and beyond if there is a problem; recently my husband's lift chair had a problem, so Peter came out to Solvang where we live several times with different solutions until one worked. We have the lift chair working again and hubby is very happy and relieved. No charge for the great service and resolution! Thank you, Peter and Jack...we are so grateful! Straight up scammed.
called in to ask if they had pillows for sale. "I have 15 luxury pillows that I have accumulated over 20 years of experience." ok tight. I come in -- there were 5 pillows, only one with natural fibers. I ask about that one . cost is $190 but its a 2 for 1 deal, but we don't have that currently in , will have it in in three days. " Ok, $100 is expensive for a pillow but okay.
three days go by---i call. oh yes it will actually be a couple weeks. I call a few weeks later--oh yes it will be at the end of the month.....well its the end of the month and owner is not replied to my messages

Peter was amazing, I came in for a tough question/part to find and he helped me. Only shop in Santa Barbara that went above and looked through all his supply to help me. I found something similar! So happy! Definitely would recommend shopping here!

BUYER BEWARE!
This shop follows a strict "all sales final" policy. I found out the hard way. I made a purchase for a reclining chair by credit card, with my salesperson, Shaun.. The chair was scheduled to be delivered to my home in two weeks, as a surprise birthday gift. However, I was not completely satisfied by the chair I had chosen. (The in-store choices were very limited, and this one felt flimsy and uncomfortable, and looked used.) Two days later found a much nicer reclining chair at a different shop in town. I immediately returned to the Santa Barbara County Sleep Shop to void my purchase. The chair was still on display, nothing had been changed, not even the tags. To my surprise, Peter, the sales person who was there, refused to deal with me, saying he was a former lawyer and that the receipt stated "all sales final" I returned later that day to deal with Shaun. Shaun was willing allow me to return the chair, but only with a $45.00 "restocking fee" charge to my credit card.
If you do make a purchase at this store, MAKE SURE you are 100% satisfied before you hand over your credit card!
