I had a great experience working with Angie Doneyhue at Star Furniture. From the moment we started, she was extremely professional, helpful, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. She took the time to answer all of my questions, listened to what I was looking for, and made everything smooth and stress-free. Angie is very knowledgeable about the furniture, products, and services offered, and her recommendations really helped me make confident decisions. She was patient, informative, and never made me feel pressured. Her customer service and attention to detail truly stood out. We've purchased from Star Furniture a few times before and have always been very satisfied. The customer service is always very good and the furniture is great quality. During a recent visit, however, we were told the delivery fee was $269 for a dining set, which seems exorbitant since we live only two miles away. In addition, we were told that the bench they had to special order for us would not be returnable. Considering the price was $360 and we've never seen the bench, that seems unreasonable. We took a pass on the entire purchase this time.

Today, 01/20/2026, we went to Star Furniture in Pflugerville to look at mattress systems. We met Holly who turned out to be a very knowledgeable salesperson. She guided us through their selections which were numerous and multi tiered. We were able to physically lay on the mattresses. We successfully bought a mattress system, cover and added some really “cool” pillows. We got to choose from abundant delivery dates. James checked us out and is the ultimate professional. Great experience. Go visit Star and ask for Holly and go meet James.

They have some lovely pieces, and we were prepared to make a significant five-figure purchase across three large items, each with warranties. However, when reviewing the sectional we were interested in, I noticed that the listed “MSRP” appeared inflated. That in itself isn’t unusual, as many retailers run ongoing discounts. But when I compared it to another piece in the same collection — one that actually had more features — the pricing didn’t add up. Using that companion item as a reference, the sectional’s true price should have been closer to $7,000 before any discounts. Yet the store advertises “30% OFF EVERYTHING,” while I was only offered 20%. The explanation given was that certain items are excluded based on how they’re classified — but even then, the discount was applied to an inflated base price that didn’t align with comparable pieces. When I tried to walk through the numbers with the salesperson, I wasn’t given a clear breakdown — just a “final price,” again based on the higher, inconsistent pricing. So it failed on both fronts: the advertised discount wasn’t honored, and the pricing logic didn’t hold up. We ended up walking out, which was disappointing given how ready we were to buy. I didn’t feel taken seriously as a customer, and there was no transparency in how pricing or discounts were determined. I understand sales tactics, but I’m not interested in games — whether that’s being asked to write details on paper or being told deals depend on specific days. As a serious buyer, I expected a straightforward and logical process, and that just wasn’t the case here.

Mateo helped us out and was AWESOME! Dude was extremely kind and found us a great sectional deal plus gave us dr peppers! I spent 1.3k here and it was 200 cheaper than rooms to go plus he got along with my friends. Nice place nice guy nice team :D
