This is a very high end store selling quality products, and the service level is also very high. I wandered in to look at their pillows and, despite the fact that I wasn't looking to spend a fortune, I was actually treated like a human being by Tim Holley, who offered incredibly polite and attentive service. It was truly refreshing to work with him, and he skillfully guided me to exactly the product I needed but didn't know existed. Thanks to Tim, I purchased the Obasan organic wool pillow, and highly recommend you try it -- especially if you're a side sleeper who wants something firm yet cushy. And it's adjustable (filling can be removed or added to your taste). My warm thanks to Tim and The Clean Bedroom!

In 2012 I bought two mattresses from The Clean Bedroom on Fifth Ave. The mattresses are just great and have really stood the test of time. I had a very good experience with TCB so this year, when I needed to buy another mattress, I went back. The experience was even better than 12 years ago. I was lucky enough to meet with Roger who was so knowledgeable and friendly. I had done a bit of research and was deciding between two mattresses. Roger gave me a lot of insight into the various options and I didn't feel rushed or anything. I went with my husband and we were saying how it was actually a really fun experience. What I love about independent stores is having so many different options and that their employees give informed and less biased advice. I've had bad look with pillows I picked at different places before, so I walked into the store looking for someone with vast experience who could help me select something more appropriate. Tom was were patient and gave me a few options based on my past results, then allowed me to try them. I placed my order online and now I'm waiting for it. I would recommend independent stores and this specific one any time of the day, and I'm happy to go back when I need it.
