My family and I were heading to ABC warehouse to look at a new mattress for our son, who has grown out of his twin bed. As we were driving, my wife saw American Mattress and asked if we should stop there 1st. I agreed. I am so thankful we did. We saved several hundreds, and got to meet Vilma McCauly. She was really sweet and fun to talk to. She was also quite knowledgeable, and she really listens to her customers, and then makes suggestions catered towards their specific needs. We got next day delivery too! We'll be going back for our future bedding needs.

Unfortunately I did not have a great experience with this specific location of American Mattress. We ordered our mattress back in February expecting a few weeks of delay until delivery. Planned to have it delivered in April but when the time came the delivery date kept getting pushed back time and time again. Every time I attempted to contact the store it always went to voicemail, eventually I called using a different phone and magically they answered! Come to find out the mattress was on "back order" so after the screening of my calls and purposely avoiding my any attempt to contact them for an update, I decided to cancel my order. This time the store had a different person working that day and thank god for him. He was from the Ferndale location and was open and honest with me about what was going on telling me that the mattress couldn't even be reserved and ordered yet and helped me with a swift refund. The Ferndale location also gave me a call to discuss what happened and did their best to remediate the issues informing me that the situation was unacceptable. Ultimately, I ordered the mattress directly from the specific mattress company for the same price and cheaper delivery! It came in ONE WEEK! Moral of the story, go to the Ferndale location if you're looking for a reliable staff and looking to purchase a mattress through American Mattress. If you know what you want, just go directly to the manufacturer.

American Mattress managed to turn a simple, $900 transaction for a basic full size mattress, box spring, and frame into a two and a half month personal hell. They held my money hostage, lied about inventory, and demonstrated a level of operational chaos that borders on criminal negligence. DO NOT STEP FOOT IN THIS STORE. The purchase itself was a mistake. $900 for an entry-level full set is already an inflated price, but I was assured of a two week delivery guarantee. This "guarantee" was an absolute fabrication. Weeks turned into a month, and a month bled into two and a half months. I was left sleeping on an old mattress completely immobilized in setting up a functional bedroom, all while American Mattress sat comfortably on my $900. They provided no communication, no status updates, and no accountability. They simply vanished after taking the money. When the promised two week window evaporated, the nightmare began. Every trip and call to the store was a confrontation with rotating staff members who were either clueless, indifferent, or outright evasive. The system is entirely broken. The most shocking moment came from the mouth of a supposed "district manager" a person supposedly in charge of quality control and oversight. This individual admitted, in a moment of stunning candor, that they essentially "don't have anyone to run that store." Let that sink in... They are operating a business, selling home goods, and cashing checks without the basic structure of management or order fulfillment. It is a derelict operation running on stolen time and customer money. After two and a half months of being dragged along, the cold, hard truth was revealed, they had never even ordered my mattress. The promise of "a couple more months" was their admission that they were utterly incapable of fulfilling the original, paid-for commitment. They were selling goods they did not possess and had no intention of procuring in a timely manner. The final, inevitable step recovering my own $900 which was yet another needless battle. They made the refund process intentionally difficult and protracted, adding insult to injury just to get back the funds they stole through their gross incompetence. The final irony? After wasting two and a half months dealing with this amateur operation, I went online and ordered a brand new King size mattress AND frame from Amazon. Total cost? $350. This means that American Mattress was charging me nearly three times the price for a smaller bed, taking 10 times longer, and ultimately delivering absolutely nothing. FINAL WARNING: American Mattress operates like a glorified scam. They lack inventory control, basic management, and respect for their customers' time. Save your money, save your sanity, and order from a reputable retailer who can fulfill a basic transaction in the 21st century.

Very pleasant experience. Our salesman, Jeremy, was very professional, and knowledgeable. He didn't make us feel pressured to buy anything. He gave us a great deal. I would definitely recommend American Mattress to anyone looking to purchase a new mattress.

Had a great experience overall! Devon was a very knowledgeable and not pushy sales associate. Coming from someone who knows very little about beds and the complexity of the numerous options, Devon made sure I had all the necessary knowledge to make an informed decision. All of their mattresses can be purchased online but I needed to physically feel them to know I made the right choice and the brick and Morton store made this possible. Highly recommend
