I had a good experience at Ashley
Stores, The salesperson was polite and professional. He made me feel welcomed. He tried his best to get me the best price for the particular piece of furniture, I came to buy. Good job Victor, keep up the good work!!

I would love to rate my experience higher because I know some of the issue is not the fault of the people who work in the location, however much of it is. Starting with the fact that Ashely Furniture online and the store have no connection is a huge issue causing people to have to cancel orders and redo them further holding up funds in accounts and credit cards. Another issue is that Ashley policies do not lend well to allow employees to assist customers in a timely fashion. Staffing and training seem to be a huge issue as well. If there has to be a manager on staff because others in the store are not able to fix customer issues, why would you not always have a manager on staff?...I had to come up to the store physically multiple times, was given the run around, had phone calls unreturned multiple times, and left to deal with people who are kind yes, but seemingly unable to problem solve and think ahead to avoid a customer from coming back to the store multiple times when the person needed is not on site. There were SO many contradictions in what was told to me by different staff members, I cannot list it all here. After 4 months and not having furniture on Christmas after being told I would, my furniture finally arrived and issues are settled but after multiple calls and trips to the store and deciphering different information given to me by different people Joe Gallo, Joe Bell, and Mike Zyck. Again, everyone was always kind, never rude but between misinformation, lack of follow up, and possibly lack of training from upper management, dealing with them was a nightmare. It seems that there was no urgency in actions although it may have been voiced verbally. At one point when I was looking for answers when promises were broken Victor Dunbar had the attitude that, "yeah well, sometimes the boss is busy and can't come in or return phone calls" as if that is acceptable. A customer should not be taken through so many hoops and should be accommodated for any issues that arise. While I love the furniture, I will not be shopping at Ashley Furniture again. Too much stress and frustrations when Raymour & Flannigan, West Elm, and others have beautiful furniture that can get the job done! ... Ashley Furniture, I recommend you train folks on problem solving, exceeding customer expectations, anticipating problems, and follow through as well as taking a look at your policies to ensure the folks who are staffed are given the power to assist their customers instead of leaving them no recourse when customers are in need. You have to pick between having less staffing or providing more authority to your staff!

(1/30/2026 UPDATE: I had to reach out again after customer service response to my review. Still no response from them and no help. Absolutely terrible customer service. It is impossible to get ahold of them. They continue to disappoint and have no communication at all.)
I purchased a modular couch with chaise and was informed before purchase that I would be able to have the furniture delivered and if not satisfied I could have a replacement or refund. After trying for over 2 months to get in contact with them, they finally told me that their email was down and they would reach back out. I sent another email weeks later for a follow up and was finally told that I would have to go into the store by the next day (a weekday mind you) and pay $150 for a transfer. The lack of communication and professionalism is very disappointing. You can also find the same exact couch for 2k cheaper on wayfair just fyi. Last time shopping with Ashley furniture.

Team was great, no pressure. They were having a MLK sale the next day for 3 days but we're able to offer me the discount associated with the MLK sale. We opted for different financing after we went over the choices. I was disappointed that the item we chose was not in stock and would not be until February. Pushing our delivery date back into February. To be fair we did pick the alternative color offered of the furniture.

Both our experiences were outstanding. After A LOT of driving around comparing couches, our original in the Springfield store was quick & easy. The only couch available for that model was in Conshihocken. When we went there to pick it up, that experience was also outstanding.
