Furniture Mall Of Kansas

I have purchased several items from this place in the past and was always happy with my service. HOWEVER, today we went I. Looking like this after working in the house in order to upgrade furniture. We spent 30 min at least wandering around - trying out chairs/sofas/ dining table and not one person offered assistance. I was pretty disappointed - I did enjoy the warm cookie!!

The furniture is top notch at this store. There was only one employee who wanted to help us. All the others were acting like they were there for a party. Literally dancing in the store, talking to each other, singing to music. They completely ignored us. When one did finally come over we asked which sleeper sofa was the most comfortable. Her response I don't know. No expression or care if we bought something or not. Why would you ask us if we needed help with sofa sleepers if you know zero about them. We left and no one cared. We came to purchase two bedrooms of furniture along with kitchen set and living room. We left purchasing nothing. The store has incredible furniture that I am sure will last for years. The service sucks. Three stars for great furniture. Zero for employee participation.

Spent 7k on furniture (couch and a mattress) and told the salesman that we needed furniture in our house moved in order to accommodate the new stuff. We described in detail what we needed and how many pieces of furniture were involved. We needed two couches moved for the new one to come in. We originally wanted one of the old couches to be hauled away with our old mattress but they said they only haul away mattresses. We asked if they could just move it to the garage and they said yes. INCORRECT! Delivery was today and they refused to move it. They said what we paid for was only one for one or something like that. When my husband started asking questions, the delivery guy got very rude and short. We said we have both worked retail and we understand that the sales person was probably just trying to push a sale or didn’t know the proper rules, but he was still short and rude. I said I was calling customer service and he said don’t bother I’m calling my dispatch now. When someone like that tells you not to call customer service, call them! Customer service was zero help and my husband wanted to tell them to send it all back. We kept it and I am regretting it. Damage was done when they were moving stuff in. So in summary, we did not get our couch moved but we did get a lovely scratch on our front door. When they were moving furniture in, it was like they were trying to do damage.

I had such an amazing time wandering through this place! It feels like a massive playground for home decor, and the layout makes it super easy to find exactly what you need without feeling overwhelmed. I loved how they have so many different styles set up in little rooms, which gave me tons of inspiration for my own space. The staff was incredibly friendly and let me browse at my own pace without hovering, which I really appreciate. Had a great experience buying a new mattress with Dave at the Furniture Mall of Kansas in Olathe. He gave us all the time we needed and answered all our questions. When it came time to check out, meeting his wife at the checkout counter--I was reminded how important it is to support your local businesses. It was our first ever purchase with them, but we will be back!
