Hudson's Furniture + Mattress

I ordered a custom Kennedy sofa and ottoman and waited months for delivery. When the sofa finally arrived, it had obvious upholstery defects on both sides of the arms. The issues were significant enough that Hudson’s agreed to replace the entire sofa. After another lengthy wait, the replacement arrived with different quality problems, including noticeable puckering and gathering along the front of the seat cushions. While the replacement corrected the original defect, it still did not reflect the level of craftsmanship I expected from a custom-order piece of furniture. At this point, the most frustrating part has been the amount of time and effort required for what should have been a straightforward furniture purchase. Between waiting for manufacturing, documenting defects, coordinating inspections, and dealing with a replacement that also has quality concerns, the entire process has been exhausting. To be fair, Hudson’s customer service did acknowledge the original issue and worked with me on a replacement. The reason for the 2-star review is not the staff. It is the lack of quality control. A custom sofa should not arrive with major defects, and a replacement should not raise a new set of concerns. I expected a premium experience. Instead, I spent months managing problems that should have been caught before the furniture ever left the factory.

Hudsons called to tell me about the July 4th sale and a credit I had to use. A friend went with. We were greeted by Selma and she was great. Found what I wanted and got it ordered, had my credit deducted and it was a great day.

A Great experience! I actually learned a lot about construction techniques & sustainability. Naomi was knowledgeable, thoughtful & got me excited about the options available. The whole experience was much more enjoyable than I thought it could ever be. I’ll definitely be going back here! I’d recommend this particular location & Hudson’s in general.

My experience with Hudson’s Furniture in Ormond Beach was outstanding from start to finish, and much of that was thanks to Naomi. I came in looking for a couch that met some very specific requirements for quality, durability, comfort, and dimensions. Naomi took the time to listen carefully to what I needed and guided me through the options without ever making me feel pressured. Her product knowledge was exceptional, and she helped me find the perfect fit: the Leather 1845 Sawyer Flexsteel in Marine. What truly set Naomi apart was her commitment to customer service. She was kind, attentive, professional, and incredibly responsive throughout the entire process. From helping me compare options, to answering questions, to staying in touch until everything was finalized, she made the experience easy and stress-free. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares that their customer ends up with exactly the right piece of furniture, and Naomi did just that. The rest of the process was equally smooth. The payment link was simple and convenient to use, communication was excellent, and the delivery crew was friendly, careful, and professional. Everything happened exactly as promised. Furniture shopping can sometimes feel overwhelming, but Naomi made all the difference in the world. Because of her dedication and expertise, I ended up with a beautiful sofa that perfectly meets my needs. We love to go into HUDSON’s FURNITURE STORE in Ormond Beach, FL because they have such a diverse selection of everything for the home and their stylist does a great job of setting it all up. We purchased a new reclining leather couch w/ matching Love Seat with console, heat & massage. They will be great for winter. We also purchased a new adjustable platform to fit a new Stearns and Foster adjustable split king bed. Last, but certainly not least, we also purchased an official Cozzi Massage Chair. Overall, this was a very large purchase for us, but it was a long time coming and with Hudson’s VIP Pre-Black Friday sale at 60% off, it was a great time to invest in ourselves!! Sally, our veteran sales gal was absolutely wonderful!! We related to her completely. She left us alone a few times to check on other people in the store so we could have an opportunity to discuss between ourselves what was important on these major purchases. She was honest and she didn’t try to oversell us on anything. Each purchase was our own decision. What Sally offered us were the very important extra details and perks of the each piece furniture, the opportunities to test it, explain their warranties, facts etc. We loved her attentive but quiet approach to sales. She had also been working there for 12 years so that says something about HUDSON’s FURNITURE STORE!!
