Mattress Firm Bangor

I purchased my mattress at the Bangor, ME store. Upon delivery the crew knocked my security camera off my door and broke it. They didn’t have booties and tracked snow and dirt all through my apartment. They left trash from unboxing the base and bed underneath the bed and zip ties hanging from the base. After they departed the owner of the delivery company called and tried to bribe me to give them a 10/10 review offering to write me a check for the cost of delivery. I called the local store to inform them of how unprofessional the $150 delivery I paid for was. I still have not received a call back from either my salesman AJ or a store manager. Between the lack of professionalism with the delivery and lack of customer service from Mattress Firm I will never recommend anyone buy a bed from here. Terrible. Update: Apparently the delivery company’s owner had communicated with mattress firm that they had resolved the issue. Once seeing my review, Nick reached out almost immediately. He went above and beyond to ensure that I was taken care of. He made sure a claim was submitted to mattress firm and that the delivery company would pay for my damaged camera and also set me up with a few tempur pillows for the trouble. What I really appreciated is that Nick handled the situation in a way that I would want my employees to handle similar situations and his efforts are much appreciated!

A.J. at the Bangor, ME location helped us find a replacement mattress and boxspring that was long overdue at a great price. My husband and I shopped around, but Mattress Firm's price for the quality of mattress could not be beaten. They also offer a very fair price for delivery and set up in the home, along with free haul away of the old mattress. The delivery/set up fee will is well worth it, since we would have to pay to take it to the dump if we got rid of it ourselves. We are looking forward to the delivery of our new mattress and boxspring!

Had an excellent experience at Mattress Firm thanks to Gyasi. I’m in sales, and this was truly above and beyond. I came in thinking I knew what I wanted after visiting Sleep Number, but quickly realized how much I didn’t know. Gyasi took the time to educate—not sell—and helped my wife and I find the right Tempur-Pedic setup. The adjustability is perfect, and we’re already sleeping better. Even the Harmony Purple pillows were a game changer. No pressure, just real expertise and a great experience. Highly recommend asking for Gyasi. Delivery was quick & professional, Kevin & Shane are pros.

Just bought a new bed today. My sleep.expert Gyasi was very helpful and not pushy like all the other stores I had gone to. He was ok with me leaving without purchasing to explore other options, and I ended up going back there to the first bed I found. Great sale.with adjustable base and 10 year warranty included. When I came back through the door he welcomed me and walked me through the purchase and explained everything to me. Our first impression was very positive. Immediately upon walking in, we noted the Bangor store was very clean, and smelled great. But the best impression was our salesman Jamie. He was very friendly, honest, and easy to be around. Testing mattresses can be awkward and feel rushed, especially with a 1yr old in tow. Jamie made us feel comfortable, allowing us the time and space to test a few different styles. He provided his experiential wisdom, walking us through different options, and helped us find a mattress that we really liked. Thanks to Jamie’s easy going professionalism, we will certainly promote the Bangor MattressFirm and be back for future purchases! Thank you, Jamie!
