Mattress Firm Hickory II

We have a mattress that we bought 2 years ago and it had a defect in it. Mattress firm covered it immediately under warranty and told us to come in and pick out a brand new mattress of equal value to original price. Kaleb welcomed us professionally and highly knowledged. He went above and beyond for us and we were so pleased. He helped us pick out the perfect mattress for our needs. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a mattress.

Second time purchasing a mattress from this store and will continue buying my mattresses from here whenever I need one in the future. Brianna was an absolute blessing. She was very knowledgeable did a great job finding the best fit for my needs. I never felt rushed or pushed. Great buying experience and I highly recommend working with Brianna!

I took my 88 year old mother mattress shopping because hers was completely worn out. We stopped in here because it was convenient. Rob helped us out and was very patient and explained the options clearly. My mother took her time laying on about six beds and with Rob's help she narrowed it down to just what she wanted. The delivery went off without a hitch and my mother loves her mattress. I can highly recommend Mattress Firm Hickory and Rob. He will do you right!

The 2 folks who helped me yesterday, 2-16-26 at the Hickory , NC store were very professional, courteous, knowledgeable & were not pushy at all about trying to sell me anything. They answered all my questions. All of this made me feel at ease in the store. They allowed me to take my time in checking out different products & gave me very useful product information. We want to express our disappointment regarding a recent experience at your Mattress Firm location in Hickory, North Carolina, while also recognizing the excellent service provided by your salesperson, Robert. On Saturday, January 17, 2026, my husband and I visited the Hickory store and worked with Robert, who was fantastic throughout the entire process. He was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely did his best to help us get exactly what we wanted. During this visit, we received a quote for Purple Rejuvenate Plus mattresses in Twin XL size, with the intention of purchasing two mattresses to create a split king. We were also upgrading the twin adjustable bed frames ( purchasing 2) and planned to purchase the extended warranties for the bed frames. A sale price was provided for the mattresses. We returned to the store on Monday, January 19, 2026, fully prepared to complete the purchase. All of the information was entered into the system, we were given a delivery date of January 31st, and we proceeded with a financing option, providing our personal information and undergoing a credit check, for which we were approved for the required amount. However, at the very final step to process the order, the transaction was rejected. After several attempts, we were informed that we could not purchase the mattresses because they had been discontinued—despite the fact that the mattress style was still on display on the showroom floor and had been quoted to us just two days earlier. We are extremely upset that we went through a credit check unnecessarily. We are very conscious of our credit score and do not take credit inquiries lightly. This situation could and should have been avoided. We should have been informed that the mattresses were discontinued before we went through the financing process and credit approval. On top of multiple attempts to purchase, our line of credit was frozen and the fraud department contacted us. They were not helpful at all after our explanation and said there was nothing they could do to repair our credit score so we ultimately canceled this line of credit. To be clear, this complaint is not directed at Robert. He was professional, courteous, and did everything within his control to assist us. The issue lies with the lack of accurate, timely information regarding product availability and the procedures that allowed us to proceed so far into the purchase process before discovering the mattresses were unavailable. We hope Mattress Firm will take this feedback seriously and review internal communication and inventory systems to ensure that future customers are not put in a similar situation.
