Relax The Back

I'm giving five stars to Relax the Back only because that's the limit Google allows. I wish I could give it more. I ventured in to Relax the Back in need of a new "TV chair" several months ago. I work very hard for a living, and I turn to TV at night to help me unwind -- and I live in my TV chair during the NFL season. My old chair wasn't doing the job due to the degenerative disc I have in my lower back. I had explored other options for replacements but they weren't cutting it. And even when I walked into the Rockville store, I told Peggy not to even show me a chair above a certain price limit. Spending real money on furniture just isn't my thing as it's all the same to me. Peggy showed me the chairs in my price range but I just wasn't feeling it. Finally, I asked about the zero gravity chair, the blue one pictured here, that was well beyond what I wanted to spend. She didn't say a word once I sat in it -- just letting me and my back fall in love with the chair. It sold itself! And I absolutely appreciate a salesperson who is low key as I am in my business. A salesperson who comes on strong is a salesperson who is going to drive me out of the store (as I experienced at other nearby stores). The lumber feature in the chair was exactly what I needed, and the zero gravity function -- something not on my radar -- seemed to provide extra doses of relaxation. And that was just at the store! Once I got the chair home and started using it, the chair produced increasing dividends. Within weeks, the pain I used to feel by the end of a night watching TV was no longer there. The discomfort of my old chair was gone. Combined with stretching and my regular exercise, I have to say the zero G chair is really making a difference. That chair worked out so well that I bought a new office chair, too. Peggy showed me countless chairs and explained the pros and cons of each chair for a person with my lower back issue. Without her, there was no way I would have selected one great chair, let alone two. What she taught me went well beyond the benefits of chairs. She also gave me insight on proper posture in both my new TV chair and my office chair. I hadn't realized how many bad habits I've developed. Relax the Back is true to its word. The new chairs over the last few months have put an end to the cascading problems I faced in my old ones. I'm grateful to Peggy for her exceptional knowledge and low-key approach.

I have bought three chairs from this place (twice under a previous name). The store manager, Peggy, is outstanding. She is patient, knowledgeable, informative, and eager to meet our needs. The store is well stocked and clean. Location is great. Highly recommend!

I worked with Peggy Douglas at the Rockville location. She has an excellent knowledge level about all the products in the store, which is impressive because they have a selection of almost every item that can make your back more comfortable. Peggy is patient, personable and organized. I highly recommend visiting her for solutions for your back and neck discomforts.

I can't recommend this place enough, especially if you get to work with Marvin. I walked in thinking I knew exactly what I wanted, but Marvin really knows his stuff and taught me so much about finding the right fit. He was incredibly patient while I spent an hour sitting in everything and adjusting every knob. The best part was that there was absolutely zero pressure to buy. I actually left to grab a coffee and check some reviews online, and when I came back to place my order, Marvin was just as helpful. If you need an office chair, go see him!

I appreciated the amount of time that Marvin Hernandez took in sharing information about your office chair products. He seemed very knowledgeable about back issues and leg pain from a pinched nerve, which is why I need a new chair. I was very pleased, but will save my final thoughts once I receive the chair and see if it meets my needs. Thanks for your store and products!
