I never planned to visit Weiss Furniture, but I’m so glad I did. I was driving through New England, stopped for gas across the street, and remembered my wife had been talking about upgrading our mattress. We had just moved and furniture shopping wasn’t even on my radar—but I decided to stretch my legs and walked into the store. That’s where I met Greg.
Greg is one of the friendliest and most knowledgeable salespeople I’ve ever met. My wife’s family was in the mattress business, so she’s the expert in that field—not me. I just wanted some information, and Greg went above and beyond to explain the latest in the mattress industry, what to look for, and even who makes what. He let me try different mattresses, answered all my questions, and most importantly, he was never pushy.
One mattress stood out, so I called my wife for the final word, and we decided to move forward with the purchase. To be honest, I never thought I’d buy a big-ticket item like a mattress in another state, from a store and salesperson I had just met. But Greg earned my trust right away. He was upfront, transparent, and genuinely cared about making sure we were comfortable with every step.
From there, Greg stayed in touch—personally checking in, giving me updates, and even calling the mattress company on the spot in front of me to make sure all my questions were answered. Everything happened exactly as he described: the deal, the delivery, and the follow-up. His professionalism, honesty, and attention to detail were outstanding.
Greg clearly takes pride in Weiss Furniture being a family business that has lasted for decades—and after working with him, I understand why. He made the entire process easy and enjoyable. We couldn’t be happier with our purchase, and we’ve already started recommending Greg and Weiss Furniture to friends.

We had a terrible experience with a dining room table from the popular “discount furniture” store in New London, so we decided to try this place! We walked in and were greeted by a nice man (I didn’t catch his name, but he was awesome!) and we told him what we were looking for and what happened at the discount store. He did research for us and wasn’t pushy. He was super honest on what he thought on different pieces. He was super easy to talk to! We ended up getting a great deal on a dining room table. My wife and I recently moved into the area and were looking for a Queen sized mattress and bed frame for the first time. As soon as we walked into Weiss, Greg jumped up and hurried over to give us a warm greeting. After learning what we were looking for, he showed us a few mattresses, bed frames, and couches (as we were also looking for couches) and provided us with a lot of information and suggestions that were all within our proposed budget. We decided on a mattress, bed frame, and drawers for under the bed from Weiss. During our visit, Greg learned that we were currently sleeping on an air mattress. Even though it was a Friday, he offered to deliver the mattress himself that evening after he closed the store; and he followed through on this, helping to bring the mattress up to our apartment and into our bedroom. He kept us updated about the delivery for the bed frame, and communicated with us to make sure that somebody would be home when it got delivered. The two guys who delivered the bedframe and drawers called when they arrived and were quick, careful, and professional in bringing everything upstairs. The drawers had already been assembled for us by Greg! Overall, we are very happy with our experience and the items that we received.
