Bob's Discount Furniture and Mattress Store

We bought a sectional queen sleeper, a coffee table and a tv stand from your store 2 years ago this March 9, 2024 3,500 plus tax and delivery fee I also purchased the goof proof insurance, which cost us $449, a total cost 4589,01. I have not had the best experience with this sectional sleeper and coffee table. The goof proof insurance is a joke. They do not cover cushions that are defective. We are getting our coffee table replaced because the wheels kept falling off the lounge part of the sectional. The cushions have deteriorated because they do not fit properly. I can’t believe this company like Bobs is accepting inferior couches and furniture. I’ve had difficulty dealing with the insurance the goof proof insurance. I found out that they are being sued in 17 different states “guardian”. The adjuster that came out was great, but he found that it was structural manufacturing defects and therefore was not covered under my goof proof warranty. I then called Bobs to see what they could do and was told that I only had a one year warranty on manufactured defects , that I did not know about because they were trying to sell me this goof proof Insurance. I did receive a 399$ vocher to replace the coffee table. The sectional Bobs did agree to send a new cushion and cover for the sectional. But I honestly feel that they knowingly knew they were misleading there customers about the goof proof insurance company. The law suits go back many years and there have been many cases won against them or settled out of court. They are using a new company now but the total replacement selling point is fake. The cushions on couches should last longer than two years and the foam in the arm rest too. I know because I used to upholster furniture and rebuild it too. I won’t be able to even sell this furniture or recoup the money I spent on it. Furniture should not fall apart in less than 2years. The customer service people that work for Bob’s are good and nice people but they should read the Goof Proof insurance warranties they are selling before they sell them. They should inform their customers about the 1 year warranty on manufactured defects too. Read the back of the purchase agreement before you sign anything. I will not purchase any furniture from them again. I will also inform people to shop somewhere else. My situation has been resolved but it was not the resolution I had hoped for due to deceptive sales practices especially with the Goof Proof warranty. It was not easy to make a claim either I also had to wait till June this year to get a new cushion and cover and I have to put it together myself. I will be purchasing another sectional from a more reputable company and donate this one to a charity organization.

The furniture selection was so good, I had a hard time choosing. He helped me make the right choice. Everything about the store is first rate. The manager was very helpful, a really nice guy. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of furniture I found in Bob's! I was hesitant to make my first furniture purchase, but the honest staff and trust built during my time in the store helped me know I was making a great decision.
