Futonland - Functional Furniture & Mattresses

As someone who lived in Japan for 7 years, I wasn't looking for a tatami set, and if I had been it would have expected it to be expensive. I wound up at Futonland's website buying a new futon cover and found their tatami set. I had to buy it! Their price is also a little cheaper than the manufacturer's website when shipping was included in the calculation. It's a fair price, quite sturdy, and authentic. Instructions were slightly imperfect, and one screw was janky, but it was all resolved quickly. You will want a rubber mallet. If you have experience in Japan and enjoy "sleeping on the floor," this is for you! It also adds a lot of flavor to the room.

The White Glove Deliverymen arrived nearly 15 minutes earlier than the expected delivery arrival time of in between 12 pm to 3 pm. That was an unexpected but pleasant surprise. They were quick and efficient and in and out in 10 minutes from unwrapping the couch as the couch was already prefabricated to showing me how to unfold it out into a Sleeper. It ties in with our apartment quite nicely and it is very comfortable. Firm but very comfortable. And if we have an overnight guest they could easily unfold it out into the sleeper. It's a twin size bed. It's perfect. Thank you to everyone. I've been a customer before and I was very pleased with Futonland and I will continue to be a paying customer for my furniture needs

I highly, highly recommend Futonland! I was moving to the city by myself and had no furniture yet in my walk-up apartment, and they were able to help me choose a delightful futon couch frame, bed-frame, mattress support and lovely futon mattress that fit my space perfectly, and I was also able to arrange for white-glove delivery and assembly service which was amazing, because there's no way I would have been able to lug up furniture in a walkup on my own. The salesman, I think his name was Bay, was super helpful, patient and comprehensive. The service was really personalized and nothing was automated at all, which is a big issue you run into with larger corporations or direct-to-consumer models which makes it really frustrating when you're trying to make sense of how and when your products will be delivered and what to expect. If I needed anything or had any questions at any time, which I didn't, I could've walked in or give them a call and I'd be able to talk to someone who recognized me which you definitely can't say for other stores. They even have those really nice Japanese joinery bedframes at literally half of the cost as a comparable direct-to-consumer brand and the service is 100000x better and you don't have to deal with a chatbot. If you're trying to furnish someplace by yourself and you need to ensure timely and personable service definitely look here over the big-box stores or online brands!!!

The most perfect sofabed/futon combo ever, either the nicest group of people, a flawless delivery, and SOOOOO comfortable. We feel we got the deal of a lifetime. And we’ve been ‘looking’ for 6 years!!

Great experience buying a futon at Futonland. I especially appreciate the call I received from Customer Service to make sure I wanted In Home Delivery. The CSR pointed out that the futon is shipped in a smallish box that weighs 65 pounds. Once I knew that, I cancelled the In Home Delivery and proceeded with normal delivery which saved me a lot of money. The futon I received is well made and exactly what I needed. I'm a very happy Futonland customer.
