Sofa Mart

I'll start by saying the couch that I purchased was great. I got a sleeper sofa which was what I wanted. I was frustrated because I was told I could customize the couch and then when I agreed to purchase it, I was informed that it would take over 8 weeks for any "customization" including adding a simple memory foam mattress. This was fine, but my real complaint lies with the sales associate who helped me. He told me that I could get an interest free LOAN for 3 years for the purchase of this couch. I agreed and when I filled out the paperwork, I was confused because the application looked like a credit card. NO WHERE on the application did it specifically say "credit card", so I asked. I told the sales associate that I did NOT want a credit card and if that is what this form was for, then I didn't want to fill it out. That I would rather put it on another card. He PROMISED me that it was a "personal loan" and NOT a credit card, so I continued filling it out (with hesitation, but reassurance from the sales associate). He also told me that when the couch was paid off, the "loan" would close a month or so later. I got my couch about 2.5 weeks later and it's great (though the memory foam mattress would be better)... What did I also get 2 weeks later? A CREDIT CARD IN THE MAIL FROM FURNITURE ROW. I was furious that I had been lied to in order for him to make a sale. So great, his stats went up for the month, but they've lost a customer forever. I would not recommend this business due to its terrible, lying sales associates. I'm seriously debating reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau. It is absolutely unethical to outright LIE to your customers in order to make a sale. My credit score dropped 50 points in one month from the credit check and for opening up this unnecessary credit card that I now have to cancel (and will also affect my credit score negatively). I would never recommend this place to a friend. There are tons of other furniture stores in Missoula that don't have associates who lie to you just to get a sale.

Great experience buying a couch here. The salesman was not pushy at all, he let us walk around and try out the ones we liked at our own pace. We financed our couch through them and that process was very easy. The couch was at the warehouse within two weeks and pick-up was a breeze. We will definitely be going back when we are in need of more furniture.
