The Original Mattress Factory

I am very torn on an appropriate star rating for this review. Experience with our order was atrocious but the product seems quality. Went into the factory store to order a new customized mattress set, during that process we had a long discussion with the lady we dealt with. The discussion focused around how our current bed setup was literally falling apart and we needed to replace everything, mattress, box spring, frame. We also explained how we needed delivery to set everything up and remove what we had because my wife has medical issues and doing things ourself would be difficult. Come delivery day, they arrive and quickly take the old mattress and box spring out of the house and get the new in, then inform us that we did not have a frame as part of our order (during the ordering process the lady did show us the computer screen to confirm, so maybe part of the blame is on us, but we assumed the frame was part of one of the several lines of data somehow). We drove back to the factory store, got a very insincere "sorry" as we purchased a frame to take home. During that we obviously complained about the process and was told there was nothing they could do to make it right, no discount, no adjustment to delivery fee, nothing. So we had to take the frame home and set everything up ourselves. After getting home we also found that the delivery guys left a bunch of plastic from the new mattress AND the old bed frame in a different bedroom in our house, which added to the frustrations and difficulties. Would I recommend their products? Yes (at least after one night, it is certainly a comfortable bed and seems like it will hold up) Would I recommend doing business with them? No - I really feel like they care about the sale.. the money.. not the customer. I have never felt so tossed to the side with a bad experience before & to be told they would do nothing to make anything right is so disappointing. We had planned on replacing additional mattresses in the somewhat near future but Original Mattress Factory really went out of their way to ensure we won't be using them again for those!

The “plush” pillow top mattress is less than 45 days old and has permanent sagging from sitting on the edge and indents where I lay. The customer service approach is immediately “argumentative”. It appears the customer is the problem once the sale is final. Good luck.

Great experience to watch the process of your mattress get made right infront of you. The employees there were so helpful and showed us a tour of factory. Great mattresses that last long and if you get a tear in it they will fix it for you within 10 minutes or so.

Having owned our previous Original Mattress Factory set for some 13 years, and being satisfied with it, we didn't even shop around for a replacement. We just went back and ordered the same thing, although we upgraded to a pillowtop mattress. Big mistake. Within 6 months, the padding compressed to where we could feel the peaks and valleys in the matteress. Had the company come out to inspect it (twice) and were told that the springs are warranteed, but the padding is not. Just flip the mattress and be happy. We've been flipping the mattress every 6-8 weeks for the last 3 years, and we've had enough. We're going to buy a replacement from Costco. At least if we get a dud we can return it.

I have had two sets of mattresses on layaway since early last year. The said as Long as I wanted them they would keep it open for me. My daughter and I got to tour the factory and see for ourselves how our mattresses are made. They informed us everything is from here in the USA and assembly was done right in front of us and of you don't do the walk through they have a wall of windows and you can see it for yourself from the showroom. I will be recommending these great people to anyone who wants a New great quality mattress and box spring's also. Keep it up folks I'm sure you'll be in operations for a long time to come.
