They are going out of business and raised their prices to make it look like you are getting a special price. Nothing impressive about what they are trying to sell. Go shop somewhere else. They used to have better stuff.

Stay FAR AWAY from Value City Toms River’s ‘Going out of Business’ sale! They are marking up each item 60%!!! I played dumb and asked what the sales price would be on several items (already knowing the exact price of each piece from the price online).. and the ‘sales price’ was SIGNIFICANTLY higher than what the actual price is. OMG these poor people getting absolutely bamboozled by this ‘sale’. I’m disgusted. $800 for this ‘end table’.. I was told they could sell it for $400. Check online for the exact style listed on the tag… it’s not even $200!!! Absolutely disgusting.

I decided to stop in earlier today to look at some sectionals for my new house. I worked closely with David K and he was so wonderful and patient in my visit. I found the perfect sectional and he was so helpful in ensuring I had all the necessary details and information I could ever need to make the right decision. I absolutely would recommend stopping by if you’re in the market for some good furniture and be sure to chat with David if you can! He’s truly the best and can’t thank him enough for his help!!

So much road-side advertising junk. They put their stupid signs everywhere on every corner. Not only is it a constant eyesore, but they place their signs in spots where it obstructs driver sightlines of oncoming and cross traffic. It's dangerous and they should (and will be) sued when an accident is caused due to obstructed view or when someone gets a flat tire from the metal stakes used. Don't support such a desperate business willing to pollute and create a traffic hazard.

In the past value city was our go to store for furniture. Over the past couple of years we have started shopping elsewhere as the prices are normally higher than the stores I once thought was expensive. Within the last couple of months we were searching for a smaller sofa and a sleeper couch for a spare room. The sofa was hundreds of dollars less at Raymour and Flanagan and their delivery price is lower. Now with their closing "sale" I figured let's go back and check the price for the sleeper couch. Their new prices are HIGHER than what they were just over a month ago. The salesman seemed really frustrated with me when I said the prices have actually gone up so it's not really a sale. He said he never said the prices went down and happy hunting... but again the same exact couch is still hundreds cheaper at the other furniture stores
