I’ve purchased multiple pieces of furniture from Value City Furniture over the years, roughly from 2019 through 2024, so I’m very familiar with this location. In the past, the shopping experience sometimes felt a little overwhelming with employees closely following customers around the store. However, during my most recent visit, I noticed a completely different approach — and honestly, it made a huge difference. The staff acknowledged me when I walked in but allowed me the space to browse comfortably. I was able to take my time walking through the showroom, sit in chairs, try out recliners, and really picture how different pieces might fit into my home without feeling pressured. That level of freedom created a relaxed environment and made the experience far more enjoyable. I truly believe more furniture stores should adopt this model. Many shoppers come in with ideas or inspiration but aren’t quite ready to make a decision. Sometimes you just need to see it, sit in it, and experience it for yourself before asking for assistance. Knowing help is available without it being forced on you is the perfect balance. Although I didn’t find exactly what I was looking for this time, the visit reinforced why I’ve continued to shop here over the years. The improved customer experience did not go unnoticed. I will absolutely be back when the right piece comes along.. Keep up the great work — this is how furniture shopping should feel.

The furniture is excellent! What sold me was the great customer service provided by Charles, he got me the best deal on my living room set, he is located in the Fairfield, NJ location. Also Mary who works in the customer service department is very patient and kind! She made sure everything went well! I’ll be back to furnish my whole house in August! You won’t be disappointed 🥰

This company is not going out of business at all—they’re just advertising that to mislead customers. I purchased a floor sample set thinking it would be more affordable, but it turned out to be a complete rip-off. The furniture is poorly made, and to make matters worse, they forgot to deliver one piece of the set. Four months later, part of the bed broke. When I spoke to Jerry, the store manager, he told me the furniture had been on the showroom floor for over a year—something the salesperson never disclosed at the time of purchase. He also mentioned that the store is in liquidation, which makes the situation even more concerning. If you’re a first-time furniture buyer, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. Please do not buying any furniture from value city Because thay are not going to with laying people when they are open Cradit card and sales person will do cheating with you and please make sure thay are gives you right contract and then you sign Because they are told me bank do for thay are blaming bank But I am sure bank right but value city sales people and corporate people laying So please do not buy if you like olso furniture Even thay long time ago put banners inside the store to going business for sale but thay are not going to close and this way they are connected with bank and make money even walls Fargo asking me disputing later but value city corporate people not even giving good answer and saport Please make sure before you buy future with financial condition please 🙏
