Ah! This place was great!! It was a rainy day and we decided what can be better than going to bobs to check out some furniture! The beds are really cool and comfortable and they had some nice dresser and night table options the couches though were next level!! They’ve got these highly sophisticated couches that connect to your screen and you can higher the bass and treble and you actually feel it in the couch seat! There’s a speaker in the center of the couch with cup holders that light up, there’s many settings to move up and back your seat to fully recline with an added back massage feature! Talking about massages, they had this amazing massage chair that did such a good job on my back that I didn’t need to buy it as I was good to go for life after that one!! I sat there for a good half hour!! It was one fantastic day here plus the staff here are great, they don’t hound you the second you come in, they give some space but always available the second you need them showing patience and being very friendly and helpful!

I am sharing my experience with Bob’s Discount Furniture, Toms River, NJ location, as well as their main customer service department. While the showroom offers a wide selection, the in-store experience was uncomfortable. Sales staff immediately approach and closely follow customers who are simply browsing. During our visit, we overheard a salesperson loudly reprimand another customer for taking a photo on their cell phone, claiming it was prohibited, despite no visible signage stating such a policy. The interaction felt unprofessional. My wife and I ultimately purchased a four-piece bedroom set totaling approximately $4,500. We were strongly pushed to purchase a five-year warranty at a high cost, along with a $350 “white glove” delivery fee, which we found excessive. On delivery day, the tracking feature in the confirmation email did not work. Although the delivery team arrived early, every single piece of the bedroom set had significant structural damage — not minor cosmetic flaws, but broken framing and mechanisms affecting the integrity of the furniture. Customer service initially offered only a minimal discount despite the severity of the issue. After a lengthy call with multiple holds and several “disconnections” while requesting a supervisor, I was finally connected with Alexandra, who professionally resolved the matter by canceling the order, waiving the $150 removal fee, and issuing a full refund. I appreciate her handling of the situation. However, the issue did not end there. Days later, I received notice that the order had been rescheduled for delivery. Upon contacting customer service again via online chat, I was told the order had only been partially canceled and that I was still being charged a removal fee — despite prior confirmation that all charges were waived. I was instructed to call customer service yet again to correct the issue. This experience raises serious concerns about quality control, inspection procedures, excessive fees, and inconsistent customer service. For comparison, we later purchased comparable furniture elsewhere and saved over $2,000 when factoring in product cost, delivery, and warranty. Based on my experience, I would advise potential customers to proceed with caution at Bob’s Discount Furniture.

Great place to get many needs met! I’d like to start by saying Michael was a fantastic sales associate! He was extremely knowledgeable, upbeat and great person to work with. There was no beating around the bush and he actually listened to what I was looking for. I learned a lot and was able to find EVERYTHING I was looking for. The ordering process was smooth and I even tried for the finance and that was easy. My only complaint is how long my order may take but hey good items aren’t so easy to come by! Would highly recommend!

We were a few times in the store and never felt pressured to buy or to pick something quickly. Lateaf was very pleasant, polite and patient. He gave us several quotes and products availability every time we saw a set that we liked and never looked bothered or in a hurry to get rid of us. When both managers came to us, to either welcome us or to finish the purchase, they were both very nice and kind and reminded us that the goal of the store is to be content with the sale experience and the product acquired. We will certainly be back.

Recently purchased a couch from Bob's. EVERYTHING from shopping, to purchasing, to white glove delivery was above and beyond. The delivery driver, Marcelo & his partner did a phenomenal job. They were very quick and careful with the delivery - took utmost care of my home, my new couch. They were very friendly and arrived with great attitudes. 10/10 will order from Bob's again for my next furniture purchase. THANK YOU!!!
