Bob’s Discount Furniture and Mattress Store

This review is not to the store itself but the delivery services. To start off, we had an earlier delivery date for our previous items, but one of the items they couldn’t deliver because one of the items didn’t fit through our door, but was able to get the dresser in the house. However, we went back to the store to eventually exchange the items we’ve picked out before for something else. We’ve got a new delivery date on all three new items. Two that were going to be delivered on May 29th and the other one stating five to six weeks out. My wife called customer service to inform them that these dates were not good for us and needed a different date. In between waiting on the delivery date, I received a text message saying that all three items are going to be here on June 1st. Today’s the first, and out of three items, two were dropped off alongside us’s gotten threshold service and not white glove. So I had to call customer service again, to be told that the third item was damaged at their warehouse. I was never told that my item was damaged in a simple phone call or a text at all nor gotten my white glove service. This is very disappointing and unacceptable that the communication wasn’t there and to top it all off, I got three big boxes just sitting in my living room. One to be picked up and the other two to be assembled and now have to wait for the third item to be delivered to the warehouse to eventually be shipped to me. If I’d known all this beforehand, I would’ve never bought my furniture with Bob’s and gone somewhere else.

Tanisha the manager and ray did an amazing job with helping me with my situation. I was kinda upset at first but they listened even tho I was kinda rough they stayed calm and got me what I needed. They even help me with getting a couple more things for my front! They energy was unmatched from the time I walked in till the time I left they were very helpful offered us snacks and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed!!!

I bought a bed from here years ago and loved it. I was in need of a new couch so I came back and was helped by an associate named Bob, how fitting 😅 anyway, he and the manager Michelle were great 👍 👌 The experience was quick and painless. My neighbor and her 6 year old son came with me and enjoyed the free ice cream and treats in the Cafe while they waited for me to sign the paperwork and checkout. Bob even showed the little guy a cool glider recliner and he loved that! Great customer service. I will be back in the future!

When I worked in Hammond I had driven past here and never stopped. I decided to stop inside to take a look because my family needed a new living room set. When we first entered the building, we were greeted by the sales team member named Bob(ironic considering where we were). He was really nice and knowledgeable. We let him know what we were looking for and he showed us the sections we needed and he also told us how to read the back of the placards. The selection was nice, my favorite being the set with a section for your pet. I picked the PlayDay model because it was a beautiful set with really nice features. I’m hoping to go back for the ottoman, if I have room. Bob let me know about the ways to pay and even let me know about their 12 month interest free payment plan. He got me a delivery window for Wednesday 11th and he let me know about the snack/rest area for their customers. Thanks to him, and his manager Michelle, I got white glove delivery and a 5 year warranty that protects my purchase without ridiculous price gouging. I think if you’re interested in purchasing some furniture, I would recommend you check out this store. It was a really great experience.

I love the furniture I selected, and I truly appreciate the customer service provided by Bob. Unfortunately, my experience beforehand with Quentin and afterward with Jose, the manager was disappointing. Quentin did not follow through appropriately with his service. He provided me with pricing that did not reflect the actual amount I ended up paying for the set, even with the stated 75% discount. I ultimately paid over $100 more than what I was quoted. In addition, I later learned that Quentin told my aunt days earlier, while we were initially shopping, that my wanting a lower price would impact his commission. Comments like that do not reflect good customer service and made the experience uncomfortable. I was also disappointed with my interaction with Jose, the manager. When I called to question the pricing discrepancy, he was not welcoming or professional in his approach. Early in the conversation, he attempted to end the call by stating he had another customer and could not continue discussing my concerns. I also felt dismissed when he stated that if I had an issue, I could simply cancel the order. That response came across as rude and dismissive, especially after I had already made my purchase. Regardless of the amount spent — whether it is $1 or thousands of dollars — I am still a customer and expected to be treated with professionalism, respect, and consideration..
