I cannot recommend this location of Bob's Discount Furniture due to incredibly rude management and questionable business practices. My overall experience has been filled with unnecessary hurdles and a complete lack of accountability. Before Easter, I urgently needed a new couch for visiting family. I found a suitable option and management assured me that if I paid the two thousand six hundred dollar total in cash, they would guarantee delivery within five days. I invested two hours of my time to retrieve the cash. Upon my return, management abruptly retracted their promise, stating that delivery was no longer guaranteed and blaming their computer system. They also informed me that a cash refund would take an entire week to process if delivery failed. Refusing this bait and switch tactic, I canceled the transaction. Despite this, I gave them a second chance when purchasing a small clearance floor model for my studio priced at three hundred forty seven dollars. When processing the purchase through a financing firm, the system price inexplicably jumped to nine hundred dollars. Staff insisted I process a credit check for the inflated amount before they could apply the correct discount. I refused to subject my credit to such a shady practice and opted to pay cash. Management then informed me floor models are ineligible for delivery and flatly denied my polite request to simply shrink wrap the item for my personal vehicle. I had to buy my own materials and package it myself to survive the Chicago weather. To make matters worse, when I went to load the couch, it was missing a leg. It was fully intact when I examined it on the showroom floor. When I complained, management dismissively told me that I already purchased it and now owned it as is. Additionally, I discovered a highly unethical corporate tracking issue. During a prior visit to a completely different location, a sales representative blatantly told me he attached his name to my account to secure commission on all my future purchases elsewhere. The only way to remove him was to completely change my email address. This location consistently uses its computer system as an excuse for poor operations and leaves the buyer at a disadvantage. In conclusion, all I ended up with after dealing with Bob's was a couch missing one leg that wobbles. Never again.
View on GoogleMe and my partner went in to purchase a bed and to just look at some sofa beds for future purchase. This was the most relaxing experience I’ve had in a furniture store. I think we spent like 3-4 hours there just trying on furniture😂 Sabrina was the sales rep assisting us and she’s so down to earth and easy going. Sabrina allowed us to take our time she gave us our space and still was able to be around when we had questions. Not only did we find the perfect bed for us but we end up getting our sofa as well (Sleeper sectional) and a bed frame for my daughter. We even went back the next day or 2 and purchased a fire place. I honestly don’t believe I would’ve gotten anything that day if it wasn’t for the fact that Sabrina was so amazing and patient, allowing us to take up as much time as we did.
