The store is nice and the staff is friendly without being pushy. Appreciated the service we received (until post purchase). Felt the quality of the items was good. Took off stars because they did make sure to tell us at the point of sale that they would price match if the item had further discounts within 30 days. When we went to pickup, the item was on sale. I contacted them and suddenly it was no longer eligible (less than a week later). I followed up for clarification and they did not respond. They were helpful until they weren’t. And the price match felt like a bait and switch.

The customer experience was so great for my mattress purchase! Robert, my sales associate, was truly knowledgeable inside and out of all aspects regarding the mattresses. He was super friendly and patiently answered tons of questions as I tested beds of all different price levels. At no time did I feel any pressure to make a decision, the entire process was laid back and relaxed. FIVE STARS!

Great experience with Zak. Our first time at Steinhafels and we'll definitely be back. We weren't pounced on by associates. We were directed to what we were looking for and left alone to wander and try things out. Purchase process was easy and streamlined

This was my first visit to Steinhafels. They had floor lamps I couldn't find anywhere. The sales person Robert Hansen was very helpful. He greeted me quickly and found what I was looking for immediately. He packaged, checked me out, and carried my purchase to my car. All in all, it was a very smooth experience. While I was waiting I looked around and liked the quality of the merchandise. I will be visiting Steinhafels again and I suggest others do as well.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences at Steinhafels (Schaumburg/Norridge locations). I purchased two chairs on a Sunday from Schaumburg store and scheduled delivery for the following Wednesday. On Monday, the very next day, I decided to cancel after finding a better option. I made multiple attempts to cancel beforehand -- I called the store, was redirected to customer service, spoke to Bill, who told me he was off today and was told I had to speak to my salesperson, who I couldn't reach as well. Since I couldn't get help over the phone, I drove to the Norridge store in person (closer to me). At that point, I was told it was "too late" because the chairs were already on a delivery truck -- nearly 48 hours before the scheduled delivery. I was also told I would be charged a $100 delivery fee for items I never received. Customer service representative named Nate (no last name given) was completely unhelpful and inflexible, repeating policy without any effort to resolve the situation or acknowledge the circumstances. Was very dismissive and didn't acknowledge the situation at all. After over an hour of frustration -- including calling my bank to initiate a dispute -- the manager in training (forgot his name) in the Norridge store was finally able to cancel the order without the fee. This proves the situation could have been handled properly from the start. After over an hour of frustration -- including calling my financing provider to initiate a dispute -- an assistant manager in the store was able to fully cancel the order without penalty. This review would have been one star, but I'm giving an extra star solely because of that effort, even though they still agreed with the policy itself. The lack of communication, rigid policies, and unwillingness to assist customers is unacceptable. I will not be shopping here again and would strongly caution others before making a purchase.
