Bob's Discount Furniture and Mattress Store

Sister-in-law was looking for furniture for her new apartment. We had a very friendly and helpful young lady, Annie, who answered all of our questions and was never pushy! She let us browse until just the right sofa appeared! Needless to say the sofa will be delivered in about 2 weeks! We will definitely be back if we're in need of more furniture in the future! Thank you, Bob's!

Delivery has not happened yet so this is just a sales review. We worked with Mike, he was a great. No pressure, just was there to answer questions and show us features we were not aware of. At no point did he ever feel “pushy” or try to talk us into anything. Its nice when sales people help you buy rather then try to sell you. Many forget that. I come to the store because I like to spend money, i just need help buying, not to be sold. Anyway entire experience was great, even when we said “we will be back in a few days to finish purchase” most salesmen at that point try to create a sense of urgency and keep you there. Not Mike and not Bobs. Prices were best we could find, even beating online. And nothing beats trying out the furniture. You cant do that on Amazon or Wayfair. So get on down to Bobs and check them out. You will not be disappointed.

Bob L. at the Rockford, IL location was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was able to take the information we had provided for what we were looking for and gave many options to consider. He pointed out potential pros and cons of each product for our specific needs. Although he did his job as a sales representative by upselling delivery, set up and the 5-year protection plan, he did not push when we politely declined the additional purchases. He took our reasoning that we live a mile from the location and preferred to assemble the items ourselves as it was going into our basement as a good enough reason not to push for delivery and set up. And the fact that the couch was maybe going to be used once a month without any exposure to stains or wear and tear to push the protection plan. He was honest and took his time listening and providing feedback to help us make our final decision. He also takes pride in working for Bob’s Discount Furniture as we took additional time asking him questions which veered off from the actual purchase itself. We inquired about how long Bob’s was in Rockford and how he came to work there. He explained with excitement the growth and future expansion of Bob’s moving into new markets and the fact that they sponsor NASCAR driver, Denny Hamlin. We will definitely return and work with Bob for future purchases!

From the moment I walked in the door I was immediately impressed with the furniture quality and guidance with the items I was looking for. Latania was positively a joy to work with! She was extremely kind, professional and knowledgeable without being pushy at all! I truly appreciate those qualities in a salesperson and not being made to feel pressured to purchase something I’m not interested in. Amazing experience! Best place in town to buy furniture!

Dont usually do unprompted reviews! HOWEVER, we really liked the furniture,! Left because the lady was PUSHHHHYYYYYY. I made clear from when i walked in that if i found something i liked i would seek her out and be ready to purchase. We were literally followed around the store and every time we would politely walk away and just be followed to the next sofa we wanted to look at. I DO NOT LIKE PUSHY SALES PEOPLE. Anyway, got our couch from American freight (again) and the overall experience was nice for what we paid for. Mike is awesome there if u stop in the MP/LP location
