Famous Tate Appliance & Bedding Centers

My washer and dryer were going downhill fast. I stopped in to Famous Tate in Brandon FL to inquire about replacing them. I expected the process to be complicated, time consuming, and expensive. Steve Coleman was my Sales Associate, he was very knowledgeable and professional. In less than 30 minutes Steve set me up with exactly what I needed and at a very reasonable price (my research had led me to believe that it would cost me much more). Ordered the appliances on Friday and they were delivered and expertly installed on Sunday. The delivery/installers, Freddy and Juan, were also exceptional. They were very patient with my many questions and unique requests. They were also extremely considerate and respectful of my home, taking every precaution not to cause any damage. In addition, I was constantly kept apprised of the status of my order and delivery of my appliances via text messages and email. I am highly satisfied and not sure if I would have had the same experience with a “Big Box” store.

I recently purchased new washing machine from them. I could not have had better customer service then the salesman Santiago. The price was great also but because of the amazing customer service I will not purchase anything from any other appliance store. Santiago had the patience of a saint with me and made this such an easy transaction!!! This is my second purchase there (the first was a new fridge) all my others will come from there too as they break down!!! Thank you Santiago!!!

I special ordered a stove from Famous Tate. I wanted a different color of knobs and handles. Which had to be ordered separately. They were back ordered. Jerrie D. was my sale person. She kept me informed throughout the entire process. She arranged to have my stove delivered, while we waited for the knobs and handle that was on back order. When they arrived she arrange immediately for a technician to come out and switch out the knobs and handles. Unfortunately, they did not put them all correctly. However, just one call on a Friday to Jerrie and on Monday the issue was resolved . If you are in need of any appliances or bedding stop into Famous Tate in Brandon and ask for Jerry D. I was highly pleased with her personal attention and professional service.

We have bought so many appliances from FT over the years. We went to the Brandon store to buy all of them for our new build house in 2021. Bernie was the manager then and he helped with everything. I recommend getting the 5 year extended warranty because nothing is built to last. I give them 2 stars NOW because my last experience was so disrespectful! I feel like it’s because I went in without my husband! Don’t they know that women make most decisions on purchases? I went on a Sunday in November. There were no customers. Steve started out friendly enough and showed me to the mattress area. He quickly lost interest when I asked multiple questions, impatient when I went back and forth to compare mattresses. Maybe he’s more knowledgeable about appliances. When I’m spending thousands on a mattress I want to make sure I’m comfortable with my choice! He said something about something he had to check and disappeared for 15 minutes. When I asked about prices he said “John” would get a price on Monday. He gave me his card. He didn’t ask for my name and number. He didn’t care about a sale. I am happy with my mattress from Saatva- their sales team was patient and helpful. I paid $4k there. FT needs to have better training? It felt like a good old boys club. They won’t even be on the list in the future.

This morning, my refrigerator motor burned up and I called Famous Tate, as I have purchased from the Brandon store several times. Jerrie answered the phone, even before they were officially open. Jerrie listened to my dilemma, as I was unable to get to the store. She found the perfect refrigerator for me, and handled the delivery and set up. She went above and beyond to help me and did it all with professionalism and a caring spirit. I will definitely ask for Jerrie next time I need an appliance. I highly recommend her.
