Godwin's Furniture and Mattress

I shopped the Bay Rd. store in 2015. I marked the tag on the floor model recliner that I wanted to purchase a new one of. It cost around $1,500.00 new in the box. I was told by the saleswoman that they had 4 new models in the box in the back of their warehouse. I decided to buy one and asked to have it delivered in the box because I worked Security at GM The recliner was delivered with no box, I was told to make more room in the truck and save time. The recliner was the floor model and was warped from use which is why I marked the tag on it. Sure enough, it was the one I marked and the old lady manager refused to help me for months until I ran into a man who set me up with a remedy It was finally replaced by the other store. I haven't ever gone back. Spend my money elsewhere where I'm not lied to and the service department works properly.

Terrible experience. Mike was awful. He made some sexist comment to us about how women always want to get new furniture and I must have dragged my husband in. It really put down both of us. It was a very off-putting experience, overall. I called a few days later to let the manager know. One of her responses was that we could have asked for a new salesperson. Ick. Like first impressions don't matter. We tell everyone not to go here.

I love this store! You walk in and you’re greeted, and then they let you shop. No one follows you around. It’s great! If I have a question they help me, and then let me shop. We’ve now purchased 2 lazy boys and 1 sitting chair from Godwin’s and I’m very happy with these purchases. Jaime was our sales lady and she is great! She doesn’t try to talk you into anything you don’t want and the prices she gave us were phenomenal! I will continue to come here to buy furniture!

Paid a ton for a lazy boy sectional plus the warranty. Called on the warranty due to some heavy pilling happening on every cushion and the techs were already dismissing my claim as animal damage on my front porch (can hear yall on the ring doorbell!). It’s been months since they left and zero response. I’ll never spend that kind of money on a sofa again, and especially not on a warranty that the company won’t stand behind. Better off buying a new couch from Gardner White every couple of years!

Michael Prime was very helpful while we were choosing our new king size bed and two new Lazy Boy recliners. We are repeat customers to Godwins due to their high quality value priced furniture, and the customer care after the sale!
