Hudson's Furniture + Mattress

Hudson's was wonderful. Nardine patiently assisted us with selection of two swivel rockers, the perfect material for upholstery, the ordering process, and she kept us regularly updated as the work proceeded. We received the chairs today, and are completely happy :)

Treva was excellent to work with. She provided all pertinent information we needed, very knowledgeable, great follow up & extremely helpful. Courteous & friendly as well. Very supportive in our selection. Will be working with her again in the future when our needs arise. Hudson’s is fortunate to have such an exemplary team member.

This review is more about Hudson’s as a company than this particular location but this is the location where I made my purchase. The way they sell furniture is absolutely ridiculous. You cannot just buy a bed there, you have to rely on the salesperson knowing that they need to order a head board, foot board, two side rails and a frame. Ours did not, all we got was a head board and foot board. Even the delivery guys knew their attempted delivery would be a disaster - they told me at the warehouse they questioned why all the pieces weren’t there and told me they were advised it was because we didn’t order them. Well, we were not advised we needed to. We saw a bed in the showroom and thought when we purchased it we had actually purchased an entire bed. Then we had to wait another several weeks to get a bed at our new house after waiting an eternity already. Also, the sales people tried to blame the delivery people. I was then told the pieces were being driven here from Kentucky and would arrive the following day. Knowing geography I knew that was not possible and it did not in fact happen. The other furniture store where we purchased a bed, we got a bed, not a bunch of miscellaneous pieces. The other furniture we purchased at Hudson’s all came in multiple pieces as well and again, we had to rely on the salespeople to know what they were doing. Over my objection my husband ordered another piece of furniture from Hudson’s online and we likewise got jerked around for months. We finally cancelled the order after a Hudson’s employee called us on their personal phone to info us that despite the company’s assurances we would be receiving that piece, it was not in fact true. That employee used their own phone to avoid the recorded Hudson’s line so we could actually be informed we were getting the run around. The furniture is beautiful but I will never ever buy anything from Hudson’s again. EVER. On top of all this, when I shared this story with a friend she knew another person who had the same exact experience with Hudson’s but his bed had been discontinued so he had to have custom side rails made to fit the bed because they wound not accept the other pieces in return. Terrible customer service, absolutely awful. I would give zero stars if I could.

Johan was my design consultant, and he was absolutely wonderful. Not only did he show infinite patience, (necessary when working with me!), but he also was able to determine what I had in mind, and showed me options rather than hard selling me on one thing. He also worked with my budget. I love what we ended up with! But what added the ‘wonderful’ to working with Johan was that he was kind and funny and really lovely to work with. Highly recommend!

When I first stepped in to Hudson's, I thought "I want it all!" Lovely showroom, and lovely people work there. I will go back to Hudson's from now on when I need furniture. This furniture buying experience was so enjoyable. Thank you Nardine for paying so much attention to my needs and wants, and also Shannon for coming to my home to help me select what would "fit" my rooms. FIVE STARS!
