My husband and I popped into the Purple Store at Woodfield on Monday evening to check out the pillow selection and give some a try. Mary was so welcoming when we walked in and showed us all the different models, explaining how each one matched our needs and sleeping styles. She was incredibly patient, allowing us to explore the pillows at our own pace and even letting us swap them out to see which one we liked best. We finally settled on the DreamLayer Pillow because of its firmness, adjustability, and cooling properties. Sadly, it was out of stock at the time, but Mary was a lifesaver in getting it ordered for delivery and still managed to snag us a discount. If you ever find yourself at the store, definitely ask for Mary—you’ll be glad you did!

Sorry but this is a big hell no. I've had three of their mattresses. All problems with the manufacture. Apparently their quality control is non-existent. I will post the pictures of what my mattress looks like and the screenshots of the emails that they sent me telling me that that's normal. Even though I went into the purple mattress store here and sent them pictures of what a mattress should really look like and they tell me that even if they did exchange it for me chances are the others would come looking like that. It looks like they would have put a queen size mattress into a king size body. There is so much extra fabric that it would give the mattress absolutely zero support and then there's divots in it. Along the side. Absolutely crazy. And I'm still under my 100 day comfort guarantee. I have since read reviews on purple mattress and I've read that they try to get out of warranty issues. That their warranty itself is so vague that they find ways to not cover things. So I figure if this is how they're treating me now before I'm "stuck" with owning this mattress I can imagine their customer service after I already own it. At this point they're kind of enticing me to keep it. Is this how they entice people to buy their product and keep their product? I am so sorry but I would absolutely positively never recommend a purple mattress. Definitely read the reviews.

Mary was an absolute gem! My friend and I got purple standard harmony pillow and it is amazing. Because there is a sale going on for that specific pillow if you buy 2, we were able to get 25% off. Mary didn’t pressure us at all to make a purchase but was very helpful and thorough with her explanation. Very excited to be in the purple family now!

Had a wonderful experience in the purple store. Mary was extremely helpful and knowledgeable answering all of my questions on the different mattresses. Mary also was kind enough to send me an email with the exact products I wanted and then called me the following day to let me know of some changes that occurred overnight . I then decided to take advantage of the information that was presented to me and finished my purchase over the phone. Great experience and greatly appreciative of the help and information Mary presented to me.

I want to share a frustrating experience in case it helps someone else before they spend thousands on a mattress. About four years ago we bought a Purple Hybrid Premier 3 queen mattress from Mattress Firm for around $2,300. It was supposed to be a high-quality mattress with a 10-year warranty. Recently the mattress failed in a pretty dramatic way. The adhesive holding the edge support together appears to have failed, and now both sides of the mattress bow outward. When you sit or lie near the edge, the mattress actually rolls outward and feels like you’re going to fall off the bed. At this point it’s not even usable to sleep on. So we filed a warranty claim. Mattress Firm inspected the mattress and approved the claim as a defect. That part went smoothly. But here’s where things went sideways. The Purple Hybrid Premier 3 model has been discontinued. Purple’s own warranty states that if a model is no longer available, it may be replaced with an equivalent model. Instead, the resolution being offered is a store credit based only on the original purchase price. The problem is that Purple’s current equivalent mattresses now cost significantly more ($1000+). So even though the mattress failed under warranty and the claim was approved, we’re still being asked to pay a large difference out of pocket just to replace a defective product. So essentially: • The mattress failed due to a structural defect • The warranty claim was approved • The model is discontinued • The proposed solution still requires us to spend a lot more money That’s not really what most people think a warranty means. I’m sharing this publicly because companies often pay more attention when customers speak up. We would honestly just like the warranty applied fairly. If anyone else has experienced something similar with this mattress model or warranty process, I’d be interested to hear about it. For clarity: we would simply like the warranty applied fairly according to the manufacturer’s terms. If anyone from Purple or Mattress Firm is able to review this case, we would greatly appreciate it. Otherwise we will likely have to explore additional consumer protection options.
