Sleep Number

I would not recommend this bed. I have had issues with the mattress cover and magnets since day 1. The magnets to hold the bed in place, do not align with the base. So the mattress can slide off. I had it replaced and they gave me a “do it yourself kit” twice. The holes rip because the magnets are not aligned so the mattress cause the cover to slide. The sleep number function is great. But the design is not. So they do not cover this under warranty and want $1000.00 to replace a cover! The bed can’t be reclined without a cover… rendering the bed useless. So sad. A $8000.00 bed. Read the reviews, they are true. Only 1 year warranty even though they cite 15 years! So be aware that you will have to pay to replace the cover depending on how much you recline the bed! Sleep number said… “sorry, we know it is a design flaw”. Nothing we can do. And you have to pay a restocking fee If you return the bed. Just do your research!!

I want to give a huge thank you to Ed, the store manager at the Altamonte Springs Sleep Number. Over the weekend I accidentally destroyed my bed’s power cord…I raised the bed too close to the wall, and the plug ripped almost completely apart. This left my headrest stuck in the upright position and my side of the bed unusable. When I called the store, Ed went above and beyond to help me. He took the time to look at pictures I sent, explained exactly what type of cord I needed, and even suggested a quick replacement option I could pick up the same day at Best Buy instead of waiting for an order. That simple solution saved me from days of discomfort and stress. Ed was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure I had what I needed to get my bed working again. He also offered to order the official replacement cord and explained additional products that could be helpful. His willingness to communicate via both phone and text made everything easier and more efficient. It’s rare to come across that level of customer service these days. Ed really came through in a clutch situation, and I’m so grateful. Sleep Number is lucky to have him as a manager, and I’ll gladly continue shopping at this location knowing that kind of support is available.

Against my better judgement , I bought another bed to go the base I owned, because the original bed broke, and they refused to fix it. Ordered the bed, took 2 weeks to gets here. When it arrives, the install person tells me that the bed isn't compatible with old base. So, I have to use the app to adjust the air, and the old remote to adjust the base. Needless to say, any of the features that automatically adjust the bed do not work. When I called ed and asked him about it, he told me it's not his fault they weren't compatible, and that it's not his job to advise me on the products he sells, that I should just know.then, they had to post on the hose under the mattress, and when I fill the bed up to my sleep number, you can fell the hose under the mattress. When I got home to set my wife's appointment up, because it didn't come with a remote, nor was I ever offered one, I see that they just threw the pump under my bed,all the hoses are exposed when my dogs and cats can smchew in them, and litterally nothing is secured.I asked them to return my old beds, and take this one back, and they told me I had to wait 30 days. So far they have refused to return my old beds, refuses to take their bed back, and ed basically told me that he can't help me anymore, because now I have to deal with corporate. If my old mattress are not returned to me, I will be contacting my lawyer, because it's not fair to makee try to keep this bed I don't want, by holding my old mattresses hostage. If I do not get a satisfactory resolution, I will be contacting my attorney. I didn't spend 5k on a mattress to have it not do what I want, and then be treated like I am supposed to be the product specialist, and have them not secure anything or even install it properly. If I knew they weren't gonna do a good job, I would have done it myself, but more importantly, if I knew the nightmare I signed up for, I would have just bought a regular bed.

I recently visited this Sleep Number store to explore options for upgrading our mattress, and I had a great experience thanks to the Kevin & Mr. Ed who assisted me. From the moment I walked in, Kevin was friendly, professional, and most importantly not pushy (which frankly I hate & that would have had me walking out as quickly as I walked in). He took the time to ask about my sleep habits and comfort preferences. Kevin then guided me through the models that best matched my needs. He explained the technology clearly, especially the adjustable firmness and sleep tracking features, and answered all of my questions with patience. I never felt rushed or pressured into buying something more expensive than what I needed. In fact he showed me a less expensive model. We would have bought an i8 and P6 if it was an option but sadly it’s not. By the end of the visit, I felt informed and confident in my choice. We will be back for the base probably next year and I’m hoping that Kevin is still there. Highly recommend both the product and the professionalism of the staff—especially if you get someone as knowledgeable and respectful as Kevin & Mr. Ed!

Ed is exceptional! He was incredibly informative and truly took the time to understand my goals. I usually don’t enjoy dealing with salespeople, but talking with Ed felt like chatting with a trusted friend who genuinely had my best interest at heart. There was no pressure—just a thorough, knowledgeable guide through every detail. Honestly, I wish I had someone like him on my own sales team. Sleep Number is lucky to have him! Side note: The Sleep Number i10 is hands down the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever experienced.
